When it come to the country I was born into even though I wish to be in another county, the level of insecurity is really high to the extend that even the top leaders don't care about us anymore as long as it isn't their family under the risk, no matter how hard the citizen cry for help, it keep falling on deaf hear. I really remember back then those days when I was still in primary/secondary school, the rate of insecurity wasn't that high, less kidnapping cases, less robbery, it was really good to the extend that everyone even respect the forces especially the police and even the vigilante who are the local security are always active, it was really interesting to the extent that every man of the house want to join this group, they always have timetable of which family head that will be on duty daily, so since there is someone on the watch, we rarely see anyone committing a crime and if they catch anyone committing crime, they will really discipline the person to the point of death before handing them over to the police and that really create this kind of fear in anybody with such plan.
But things aren't like that anymore, it is now like old things that have pass away, the first them the whole security system was shaken to the core was when the boko haram came into existence out of no wear, it was like an internal war, they were killing every rural time they come across and at a point they abduct hundreds of girls named chibok girls and all attempt to save them was negative even after they demanded for billions of naira, they only released few girls and with times we didn't hear anything about them anymore and after many years I think they were released but with babies, with time the whole security system worsen, apart from the robbery and kidnapping cases going on, the police forces started tormenting the citizen, the bad egg in them started manifesting and overshadow the good ones, they left their main purpose which is to be friend of the people and help during dying time to be the greatest tormentor.

Firstly, they start extorting innocent people, if you are dressing well and you are a young guy, you will be in serious problem anytime you walk pass them, I remembered a case when me and my went to get our passport in ikoyi and we decided to order uber back home, I was really tired that day because of the stress and at some point we were stuck in the traffic, all of a sudden people dressed in black mulfti sudden open the car door and jumped in the front seat while others ask us to roll down the glass in traffic and they started asking questions "Where are you coming from and where are you going", my friend answers them then they ask for work ids which wasn't with us, and the next thing was that the driver should make a u turn in front that we were going to the station, and I ask what offence, then one was like where did we see money to take uber, I was shocked and I ask who are they. after saying they were police officer, I ask for their id but they couldn't provide it, trying to shun me, we drag and drag but they took us to their stations, start checking our phone with the hope of finding anything against us which they didn't, they hold us down for an hour with different question asking why we are trading crypto, don't we know it is illegal and all and at the end ask us to pay certain money before they can release us but when they sense we knew what we were doing, they ask us to leave. There was another day while driving out of Lagos, they stopped me and tag me as a yahoo boy after searching without seeing anything on me, they asked for 300k as releasing fee, I didn't pay though because I don't do giveaway.
Young guys are scared especially those one working legally because the one who were suppose to safe us are the one tormenting us, Nigeria isn't that safe even though there are amazing tourist area but one have to be alert and play safe, taking road trip is even more scarier because we don't know who is on the road planning to kidnap, and the leaders aren't ready to solve any security problem instead they were busy planning how to buy presidential jet for the president safety and pushing changing the country anthem back to the old one before they received independence and they said " that anthem if implement earlier would have solve the whole country insecurity", we asked how but no positive answer, but what do we know, we are just an African trying to be safe.
