Foreword
Good day to all. How are all of you doing, November is here and we are down to the final 2 months of 2024. What a year it had been thus far for me and I am so glad it had been a really fruitful year especially in the aspect of savings and growing my Hive Power.
2024 Goal
Before I proceed further, let's recap the savings goal I set for myself when the year started.
Power | Start | Goal | Now |
---|---|---|---|
Hive Power (HP) | 5000 | 9000 | 9059 HP |
I started the year with 5000HP and back then set a goal for myself to get 9000 HP by the year end with an additional stretch target to achieve 9000 HP by end of November. Here I am to share a great news with everyone that I've achieved both my primary and secondary goals that I've set for myself for this year. With the achievement of the goal, while giving myself a pat at the back, I would like to push myself a little harder before the year closes. While it might potentially be very far fetched, I would like to attempt to get 10k HP before the year end. Seeking your support and encouragement as I continue on this journey to further stretch myself.
Performance to Plan
This is one important aspect of my savings to ensure that I get stronger and stronger with passives and also finding alternate pathway to gather more Hive Power.
Layer 2 Token Management
It is an important piece of my saving to consistently review my sources of layer 2 tokens that increased my liquid Hive and SWAP.HIVE and started planning to get them into a better state for better passive drips.
Liquid Hive Sources:
Holding EDS tokens- The amount I have yields me 0.05 HIVE per week.
Holding DAB tokens - The amount I have yields me 0.008 HIVE per day.
Holding SIM tokens - The amount I have yields me 0.032 HIVE per day.
Holding BRO tokens - The amount I have yields me 0.007 HIVE per week.
This totals up to 0.335 HIVE per week an increase of 0.026 HIVE per week as compared to last month. The amount of liquid Hive incoming did not change, though at one point of time the SIM tokens portion did increase a little to 0.033 Hive per day but in recent few days, it came back to 0.032.
In this segment, I have started building up the amount of EDS and also continuous looking to increase SIM as well.
I am monitoring RUG token as well and will be looking into buying them. Hopefully with all these in place, it will form a stronger foundation for my Hive Liquid increase.
SWAP.HIVE Sources:
Staking DRIP tokens - The amount I've stake yields me 0.00181 SWAP.HIVE per day.
Holding BBH tokens - The amount I have yields me 0.0043 SWAP.HIVE per week.
This totals up to 0.01697 SWAP.HIVE per week. It is not a big amount compared to liquid Hive portion. But it is still a good source of passive. Drip continues to grow day by day from daily drip and BBH continue to go strong.
I have been trying my best to gather traction on my dCity growth to gather much more SIM with approximately 70 SIM per day. If you would like to grow your savings through growing SIM while building a city, join me and many others to play dCity.

Rollercoin
While initially I had wanted to use this as a backup source to make up for any shortfall in reaching my goal, now that I've set a further stretched Hive Goal for myself, this will definitely come in handy as I continue to build up the mining room in the game to mine more RLT to get more miners and at the same time mine more LTC to be ready to be injected into the Hive Blockchain to obtain more HP.
Closing
I am glad to have achieve my goal that I've set for myself at the start of the year and even able to achieve the stretch secondary goal that I've set for myself. Saving should always be a continuous effort and should not be stopped, so while we still have some time left till we say goodbye to 2024, I will work on saving towards the new target I've set for myself in the this post. While the goal might be a little tough but having a direction and motivation will definitely help us save stronger!
See you next time!
Saturday Savers Club
What is Saturday Savers Club?
The Club is a supportive group of people who meet up around the weekly post, usually on a Saturday but occasionally on a Sunday, to share tips and techniques and have some fun in the process. Saving is a skill that takes time and practice to acquire and, like learning any skill, doesn't always go the way you planned.
