Education, Empathy, and Justice: Key Pillars for Eradicating Racism

Racism is a big disease that has plagued humanity for years, evolving from one stage to another, from slavery to tribalism and now racism. This is one of the fundamental backbones of human division that's inspired by the superiority complex, leading to inequality and maltreatment of the other parties. As humans, we must come together to fight against such acts and strive for equality and oneness regardless of one's skin color, race, nationality, or indigenship.

The amount of hatred brooded via racism is so much that humans are now more like their own number one enemy, not wild dangerous animals, climate change, or natural disasters; instead, humans, through racism, are inflicting violence on each other, leading to injustice, war, injuries, and even death, and it's dishearing to see how instead of us joining forces with one another, instead we're seeing others as lesser humans; this shouldn't be, and we must bring it to a halt.

It's worth noting that anyone can be racially abused, although it's usually believed to be common amongst white people towards the blacks, but then it's vice versa, and the same has been done towards the white too. One of such was a few years ago when I saw a video online of a particular country people manhandling a white man and calling him names. That's not nice and shouldn't be. We're all unique in our own way, and that doesn't mean we're better. We should see ourselves as equals and comrades fighting for the same course, which is the betterment of human lives.

One of the most popular and recent acts of racism was one that reignited the fire and cries for black lives matter. That's the incident involving George Ford and the police. How he was treated inhumanly by police because of his skin color rather than finding out if he actually committed an offense, they just took actions into their own hands, and while George was saying he couldn't breathe, the police just ignored his cries and continued with the torment until he lost his life.

This isn't us and shouldn't even be a thing at all. I believe society and family have a huge role to play in eradicating racism and dealing with racists all over the world. Why I said the family is one of the core ways to stop racism is because parents have a way of influencing and impacting their kids, and it's what they hear you say and do that a child will grow up to see as right, leading to more racial pollution.

Just like the family, the society is another bedrock that must be put to check; we must all see each other as equal, treating everyone right and not making one feel as though he's more important than others, and if we can purge our family and society of such an evil mindset, it's my belief that the world will be a better place and a safe haven for all regardless of your nationality, race, or skin color.

I've seen loads of human rights activities come out to cry for equal treatment, and I think we should all join them and punish anyone found racially abusing others severely, but first to be put under a system where they're taught to love and see everyone as the same; only then will they learn and realize that everyone is equal and that love is what should lead between humans regardless of what seems to differentiate us.
