Our purpose in life varies depending on each individual's perspective and ideology; while for some they believe having a lot of money is the main objective, others feel as though it's having a deep connection with others, and to some it's their community services and the like. Even the religious people feel as though their purpose is to do the will of a greater being. Regardless of what each person's purpose is, it's worth noting that it's the driving force that steers us towards achieving whatever we set our hearts towards; unfortunately, not everyone knows what their purpose is. Do you know yours?
Purpose isn't something that's easily discovered, and we've got loads of humans out there that are of age but never get to discover their purpose in life, so even died without discovering it, not to talk about it or work towards it or achieve it. It's quite saddening to see many people in our world who don't know their purpose but just work daily with an aim to survive or get food on their table; in my opinion, that's just a borrowed purpose or normal human survival instinct.
Discovering one purpose requires a lot of self-reflection, and in light of that, I'll like to briefly explain some steps that can be taken to be able to discover one's purpose, after which I'll then tell you about my own purpose. So, like I said, self-reflection is the key and first stage towards discovering one's purpose, so you've got to reflect on yourself, try to decipher what you love and usually derive joy from doing, and it'll lead to your purpose.
Another on the list is knowing your strength. Many of us don't know what our strengths really are, and one way to find out is to critically analyze what people usually look up to you for in helping them do; this usually shows your strength, meaning those are things you find yourself doing effortlessly, and lastly, I'll say you should embrace the journey and not the destination. What most people don't know is that the journey matters—each experience and growth—and what makes up our person and ultimately makes our purpose clearer.
Personal for me, given my self-reflection through the years and what I've come to see as a part of me and what steers me continuously, I'll say my purpose is deeply rooted in creating stability, security, and well-being for my family and me. I've personally come to see my purpose as what stood out as my driving force, such as quest for peace, growth, and provision for me and those around me, and this is because I've come to realize those are what usually gets me on my toes frequently, unlike other things.
But then talking about human purpose generally, I can't pinpoint it to one thing because, like I said, each individual is unique and has a different purpose, but if I were to use logical opinion coupled with some religious beliefs, then I could come to a conclusion by saying some of the purpose of humans is to reproduce, dominate, and fend for planet Earth as much as they can, because that's the only home suitable for us.
Why I said this aside from the religious beliefs is that if we humans fail to reproduce, then we'll go into extinction within a few years. Also, not dominating would endanger our lives, while fending for planet Earth helps us avoid different natural disasters that pleague the earth and find solutions that help curb such, making earth a safe haven for us all.
