The Quirks of My Family Traits

One of the beauties of our world is the family. Each family has their uniqueness, and they go on to have similar traits that make every member of the family distinct from other people. These traits can be visible for everyone to see, and some are not, as some family traits could be related to height, being tall or short, having a distinct eye color, skin tone, personality traits, and several others to mention, but few. In my family we've got such traits as well, and today I'll tell you all about it.

I for one love my family, and I'm happy to be a part of it because it's made up of great people that'll stick with you through tick and thin, putting their lives on the line if needs be, just so they can see you're alright and have all you need. I can as well say that having good will or being kind is one of our traits, but then I plan on writing about the physical aspect of the traits all of us in my family have in common, and so without further ado, lets get into it.

One of the notable unique traits my family has is regarding our height. If by now you've seen me before either physically or via a picture or video, then you'll know I'm quite tall; it's one of our family traits and beliefs. For me, it'll be strange if paraventure one of us happens to be short, because even my mom and dad are both tall, and when you take a look at everyone in my family, the shortest amongst us is 6'3 while some are way taller than that.

I for one love these traits about our height because they come in handy for me on several occasions, especially during my childhood days when I would have been bullied by other students. Most of them tend to get intimidated by my height and just let me be. I guess they'll all think within themselves that I'm older and would be able to fight. Unknown to them, I can't fight at all, and neither am I strong enough to face anyone.

Another trait that's notable in my family and that can be easily detected is the absence of facial hair—not the entire face but the hair that grows on the cheek—that we Nigerians mostly refer to as teddy. In my opinion, all of us don't have such hair, and it's just strange, because at a time when I was younger, I remember how difficult it was for me to grow a single hair on my face, making me look way younger than my actual age, and I tried applying different hair cream on the spot with the hope that hair will grow there.

But all were in vain, as I never got to have hair in that part of my face. Though I used to wish I had it back, now I'm even grateful for not having it, because even though it's somewhat beautifying the faces of those who have it, I can't help but recognize the stress behind maintaining it, and so that's why I'm grateful for not having it now. I can't imagine myself going to the barbershop every week, as I deemed it stressful, and I myself only visit the barber once a month.

So with that being said, it's obvious that I love the family traits I've got in common with my family members, and I won't trade it for that or others, because one way or another they've played a significant role in my life and are still doing that till date. Besides, what's the beauty of a family when they haven't got anything in common? My family has ours, and they're cool in my sight.

The shortest in your family is 6'3?! Wow! Here I am, battling with my 5'4. And someone is being tagged the shortest because the person is 6'3😂😂
Is that you in the white outfit? Don't worry about having teddies. You're a very handsome princess. You don't have to bother wasting money every week to look clean. You've got it for free

Smile we're blessed with the height, thanks for your compliment, nope that's my immediate junior brother.

You’re not just tall, you’re thick and tall with a kind heart.😅🤭

Hehehe see my life outside 😂

Thanks for your kind words dear.

You’re welcome.

Bro, I can relate to the height thing and it's just the same with my family. A lot of times, people say to me and my siblings that we're intimidating when we walk together. Honestly, we just enjoy flaunting the height here and there.

The hair part is the opposite for us because we are very hairy, mine isn't mum though but my sibling has crazy facial hair.

Smile that's very true, walking alongside my siblings and past a short person is like a huge intimidation.

Oh that's nice, you guys are awesome, thanks for your kind words.

My own family is the opposite of tall sha, we are three boys and I am the second tallest person. I don't even know my height but I know I am taller than my first brother. That guy is a short as a dwarf. No amount of plate of beans can make him tall.

For the facial hair we have alot of hairs on our face and even our body in general. I guess that's even of our trait.

Smile it's fine, it's every family is unique in their own way, and yours is an amazing one.

Yeah that's just it. Been unique is actually rare .
