Today I would like to show you some photographs that are actually quite recent, they correspond to a few months ago when we had a remodel at home, I remember that on that occasion there were quite a few tiles left over and given that the kitchen backsplash was already very deteriorated after more than After thirty years of living at home, I decided to get to work and start removing all the old tiles to install the new ones left over from the previous job.
Hoy me gustaría mostrarles unas fotografías que en realidad son bastante recientes, corresponden a hace unos meses atrás cuando tuvimos una remodelación encasa, recuerdo que en esa ocasión sobraron bastante baldosas y en vista que el salpicadero de la cocina estaba ya muy deteriorado luego de más de treinta años que tenemos viviendo en casa, decidí ponerme manos a la obra y comenzar a retirar todas las viejas baldosas para instalar las nuevas que sobraron del trabajo anterior.
It was an easier job than I imagined, taking into account that it has been many years since I installed tiles, I have never been a bricklayer, but I learned with my brothers to do certain jobs, which has helped me a lot in my own house or for give advice to others
Fue un trabajo más fácil de lo que yo imaginaba, tomando en cuenta que hace muchísimos años que no instalaba baldosas, nunca he sido albañil, pero aprendí con mis hermanos a hacer ciertos trabajos, lo cual me ha ayudado abstante en mi propia casa o para dar consejos a otros
It was very satisfying to see how the work was turning out, the kitchen wall looked much better than it was, because to make matters worse, with the bathroom work, a hole opened in the kitchen wall that had to be repaired with cement, but the tiles did a great job of beautifying and functioning because now it is much easier to clean that area after cooking.
Fue muy satisfactorio ver como iba quedando el trabajo, la pared de la cocina se veía mucho mejor de como estaba, porque para colmo, con los trabajos del baño, se abrió un hueco en la pared de la cocina que hubo que reparar con cemento, pero las baldosas hicieron un gran trabajo de embellecimiento y funcionabilidad porque ahora es mucho más fácil limpiar esa zona, luego de cocinar.
But it was even more satisfying to see the finished work, the result of all my effort. I liked seeing these photographs because they have helped me to see how my home has evolved and all the learnings that the process has left me.
Pero fue más satisfactorio aún ver el trabajo terminado, el resultado de todo mi esfuerzo, ver estas fotografías me gustó porque me han servido para constatar lo que ha evolucionado mi hogar y todos los aprendizajes que me dejó el proceso.
