They say that faith in God moves mountains, that miracles exist, I must admit that this is true, every day God performs not one but many small miracles for us, miracles that sometimes we do not see or do not want to see because we are attentive to insignificant things or materials, the mere fact of waking up in the morning is already a miracle, seeing that our loved ones are well, that when we have problems that overwhelm us or despair, God gives us the solution because after the storm comes calm, those are small miracles .
Dicen que la fe en Dios mueve montañas, que los milagros existen, debo admitir que eso es verdad, todos los días Dios nos hace no uno sino muchos pequeños milagros, milagros que a veces no vemos o no queremos ver por estar pendientes de cosas insignificantes o materiales, el solo hecho de despertar por las mañanas ya es un milagro, ver que nuestros seres queridos están bien, que cuando tenemos problemas que nos agobian o desesperan, Dios nos da la solución porque después de la tempestad viene la calma, esos son pequeños milagros.
Resumen/Overview
The Greatest Miracle in the World is the one presented to us by the writer Og Mandino in his excellent work that leads us to reflect on the existence of God. The protagonist of the story (the author himself), while going to work one snowy morning, encounters a tall, strong old man with a thick white beard and kind eyes. The old man holds the parking lot bar for him so that he can pass by with his car, when the protagonist parks his car he wants to go and thank the old man for his kindness but he can't find him anywhere, so he spends the day working and thinking about the noble gentleman who helped him in the morning.
El Milagro más Grande del Mundo es el que nos presenta el escritor Og Mandino en su excelentísima obra que nos lleva a reflexionar sobre la existencia de Dios. El protagonista de la historia (el propio autor) al ir a su trabajo una mañana nevada, se encuentra con un viejecito alto, fuerte, de espesa barba blanca y ojos bondadosos, el anciano sostiene para él la barra del estacionamiento para que él pueda pasar con su auto, cuando el protagonista estaciona su auto desea ir a agradecer la gentileza del anciano pero no puede encontrarlo por ninguna parte, así que pasa el día trabajando y pensando en el noble señor que lo ayudó por la mañana.
A long time passed until he saw him again, and it was in that same parking lot on a beautiful starry night, they both greeted each other and the protagonist was finally able to thank the old man for helping him that morning in the middle of a big storm. The old man introduced himself as Simon Potter and pointed out a small, modest four-story building, inviting him to drink a glass of sherry. That was the beginning of a deep friendship and the first encounter of many with that glass of sherry.

In the conversation, Simón's job came up, he was a rag picker, but Og couldn't imagine him collecting waste in the garbage dumps, but he clarified that he was a rag picker for humans, that is, he helped them recover and recover their dignity, faith and hope in life, he told him how he did it and the great satisfaction he felt in doing it, but to the reader's great surprise, Simon Potter's past life was perfectly reflected in Og Mandino's previous book "The Greatest Salesman of the World" including the names of his wife and children who died in Hitler's concentration camp, her name was Lisa and her son Eric, just like the characters in the book, of course this greatly astonished Simón and the writer of the book.

It is a fascinating and entertaining story, finally Simón leaves Og something called The Memorandum of God to include in his book, The Greatest Miracle in the World, Mandino looked for Simón in hospitals and morgues but never found him. This situation greatly depressed the writer, but he sought the Memorandum of God and kept his promise, including it in his book, which turned out to be a best seller and one of his best works.

My Opinion/Mi Opinión
I worked for many years in the pharmaceutical chemical industry, and I remember that I printed and pasted The Memorandum of God in my Locker because I really liked reading it and it made me feel good spiritually. On one occasion, full of fury because things were not going well for me at work, I violently opened the locker and the first thing I saw was The Memorandum of God, which is practically a cluster of beautiful reflections. When I read them, I felt great peace inside me. and little by little I began to feel good, and my anger dissipated, and I have kept it ever since.
Yo trabajé por muchos años en la industria química farmacéutica, y recuerdo que yo imprimí y pegué El Memorandum de Dios en mi Locker porque me gustaba mucho leerlo ya que me hacía sentir bien espiritualmente. En una ocasión, lleno de furia porque las cosas no me estaban saliendo bien en el trabajo abrí violentamente el locker y lo primero que vi fue El Memorandum de Dios que prácticamente es un cúmulo de hermosas reflexiones, al leerlas sentí una gran paz en mi interior y poco a poco me fui sintiendo bien, y mi furia se disipó, desde entonces lo conservo.
I think that Og Mandino also felt very good and in peace with his experience since he himself concluded that his encounter with Simon Potter was his encounter with God himself, that is why I recommend reading this beautiful book The Greatest Miracle in the World, where it also allows us to understand that the greatest miracle really is ourselves, for example, one of the things that The Memorandum of God says is that if we can see it is thanks to all the visual infrastructure that God put in us and that we walk, breathe and feel for the same situation, and that makes us The Greatest Miracle in the World, the human being.
Pienso que también Og Mandino se sintió muy bien y en paz con su experiencia ya que él mismo concluyó que su encuentro con Simón Potter fue su encuentro con Dios mismo, por eso recomiendo la lectura de este hermoso libro El Milagro Más Grande del Mundo donde además nos permite entender que el milagro más grande realmente somos nosotros mismos, por ejemplo, una de las cosas que dice El Memorandum de Dios es que si podemos ver es gracias a toda la infraestructura visual que Dios puso en nosotros y que caminamos, respiramos y sentimos por la misma situación, y eso nos convierte en El Milagro Más Grande del Mundo, el ser humano.

Espero que les haya gustado mi recomendación de hoy, es un libro que a pesar de tener muchos años, de hecho mi ejemplar está un poco gastado, el mensaje que pretende transmitir está más vivo que nunca, en una época agitada donde la espiritualidad y la fe parecen estar diluyéndose poco a poco, además resulta interesante la narrativa en primera persona del autor, y eso de que los hechos son descritos como una experiencia propia pone a trabajar nuestra mente ¿esto es cierto? ¿realmente pasó así? de todos modos sea cierto o no, el libro nos deja con una gran paz interior que vale la pena experimentar.
