Was denkt ihr?
Splinterlands leaving Hive? "500K is nothing". Other more prominent chains have funds for crypto apps. Why not hive?

Hive Proposal to fund Splinterlands

Splinterlands is in serious trouble. With all the reward changes and especially the introduction of the Wild Pass, user numbers have been decimated.
OG players now have to buy a pass every two weeks in order to play with wild cards at all.
The aim was to combat bots and thereby get the inflation of rewards and SPS under control. Unfortunately, this also worsened the gameplay and massively damaged trust.
The SPS rate has fallen from 1 cent to 0.669 cents in the last 3 months.
Card prices are also in free fall, 1000 DEC only at 0.70.
Now Splinterlands is asking for half a million dollars, funded by a hive proposal, to fund the game and push DEC back to $1.
DEC at $1 is important for the internal economy and also allows users to exit Splinterlands. Assets can be burned against DEC and traded against HBD.
If the proposal does not go through, Splinterlands is even threatening to leave Hive and switch to another gaming blockchain.
On the one hand, I would like Splinterlands to stay on Hive and survive, as I have also invested a lot in Splinterlands, but on the other hand, I find the financing through a Hive proposal questionable and how this is supposed to continue in 180 days. It could become a bottomless pit.
I think the costs have to be minimized first and the money should also be tied to conditions. For example, that some of the money is spent on marketing, or Splinterlands becomes open-source or more transparency is demanded. Just as an idea.
In the meantime, the SL community seems to be getting on board with the idea SL changing the chain. Perhaps that would even bring a breath of fresh air and new capital. Far more than Hive could currently manage.
However, switching to a different chain would not be that easy to implement. Most players are on Hive, SL already has its own SPS chain, Hive Engine, etc. A switch would probably be more of a bridge so that SPS could be traded on a different chain. That could even be a win-win.
On the positive side, Splinterlands has one of the most loyal communities, has been very successful financially so far, has also recently managed to sell Bitcoin Halving promo cards and 4000 Rebellion Packs in the last two weeks alone. That's a great success.
What do you think? Do you support the Hive Proposal? How would it continue after 180 days or would it be better for SL to look for new investors? Since the departure of aggroed, the main thing missing is marketing.
