Bonjour 🇫🇷🤝 ! How are you guys doing today? Today is my first day of French class, and I want to share my day with all beloved Hivers here. I think studying French will help me a lot, Do you guys think so ?
My Beginner French Class at the Institute Français du Cambodge
Today was another exciting day at my beginner French class at the Institute Français du Cambodge. I’m studying A1.1 using the textbook Bonjour et bienvenue! This course is designed for absolute beginners like me. Since I’m busy with university classes on weekdays, I’ve opted for the Saturday-only schedule, which runs from 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM. This timing fits perfectly with my routine, allowing me to focus fully on learning French over the weekend.
The Learning Environment
The classroom environment is one of the best things about this school. The area is clean and quiet, which makes it ideal for studying. Most of my classmates are also university students like me, but there are a few who are learning French to advance in their careers. It’s inspiring to see so many people from different walks of life coming together with the same goal to learn a new language.
Our course takes for 45 hours per term, and while it may seem like a long time, the structured lessons and engaging activities keep it interesting. The textbook Bonjour et bienvenue! is beginner friendly and covers essential topics to help us build a strong foundation in French.
My Campus and the Larger Campus
I attend classes in Bâtiment A, one of the two campuses at the Institute Français du Cambodge. Although my building is smaller, it’s well-equipped and serves its purpose perfectly.
There’s also a larger campus right in front of my building, and it offers so much more. It features:
• Art galleries showcasing beautiful exhibits.
• A free-entry library with a vast collection of books and resources.
• An outdoor coffee shop where you can enjoy fresh air while sipping on a drink.
• A bookstore stocked with French literature and learning materials.
• Several study clubs for students to participate in.
Unfortunately, I didn’t get the chance to visit the larger campus today. However, I’m planning to explore it next week and will definitely share more about it in my next update.
Why I’m Excited About This Journey
Learning French has always been a dream of mine, and the Institute Français du Cambodge is helping me bring it to life. With a supportive environment, passionate classmates, and excellent resources, I feel motivated to improve my French skills week by week.
Next week, I’ll make sure to explore the larger campus and check out all the facilities it offers. Until then, I’ll keep practicing what I’ve learned and look forward to my next class!
Je t’aime 💕✨
Have a beautiful weekend Everyone!
