Dacrymyces spathularia, or better known as jelly fungus, is a type of fungus that has a unique appearance, like transparent and slippery jelly. This fungus usually grows in damp and swampy forests. Although not everyone likes this mushroom because of its somewhat slippery texture, it tastes very delicious if cooked properly.
Jelly mushrooms have a delicious taste and can be the right choice as a food ingredient. Even though the texture is a bit chewy and slippery, once cooked in the right way, jelly mushrooms will become very delicious. Usually jelly mushrooms are cooked with oyster sauce or other mushroom sauce to add a rich taste.
