Already this week is celebrated the day of love and friendship, well that's how it is known in my country, in other parts is distinguished by the name of Valentine's Day, and even the ways in which they are celebrated, with whom they are celebrated and what is given, differ between cultures, but basically it is to commemorate those feelings of love and friendship with details that are framed what they mean, because beyond the physical details, is to make people understand those affections so beautiful and very valuable. Therefore, I wanted to make an illustration that reflects that day, although I focus more on love, I feel that in relationships there is also a deep and sincere friendship, or at least it should be, I hope you like it as much as I do.

First I started with the sketch, which I did in red, here I had already planned to do a landscape, which I'm not used to do, but I wanted to get out of my comfort zone, besides them, part of the face of a woman and man would be printed there, in the landscape and within boxes. Adding in another area, various poses of their hands, for this part I also wanted to get out of my comfort zone, because I do not like drawing hands and therefore, I resorted to search for references from the internet and practice them, something had to come out.

After the sketch, I proceeded first to make the background, so I painted it grayish blue and played with the gradient tool and other brushes that Krita brings by default and thus give different shades to the sky.

For the clouds, something I don't like to do much, I was guided by a tutorial I got on Pinterest, where I first make a series of spots in the colors I wanted this cloud to have and in different shades, and with a blending brush, I gave it that scattered shape and combined the colors homogeneously.

At this point, I realized that I was misdirecting the light of this cloud, so I added the dark tones corresponding to the direction and accentuated it with very bright yellow touches.

Then I proceeded to make other clouds, in the upper part of the composition, here I directed the lights and shadows well. This is the result of the background, without the sketches of the figures.

With the background ready, I proceeded to make the clean lineart of the figures, correcting certain shapes that did not fit.

Then, I added the base colors and began to give the lights and shadows to the figure of the man and the woman.

Continuing with the shading on the hands, increasing the size of the figures and adding some stars around the hands. To everything I added a texture layer, which I overlapped and lowered the opacity.
