Hello my wonderful people, welcome to yet another interesting episode of the series "My Gratitude". Firstly I sincerely apologize for the break in the series but i know we'll all excited because My Gratitude --Day 3 is here.

Christmas has always been that season when families and friends travel to visit each other and celebrate the moment together with alot of activities like dancing, cooking etc.
Last Christmas, my family and I traveled to my mum’s village, Abak local government area of Akwa Ibom State. The village precisely Abiakpo is a serene place surrounded by greenery bush and Stony stream path. As we arrived around 6pm that evening, the cool air greeted us, carrying the sweet aroma of water and fresh leaves. The tiredness from the long journey was replaced with this absolute peace that soothed the soul.

The next morning, I woke up to the soft sunlight straight. Viewing it from my bed gave me this refreshing feeling and then came the sweet songs from the birds nearby with the sweet melodious sounds filupling the house. Wondering what creature would bless my day that way, I sat up and looked out, lo and behold the tiny little creature was on the branch of the guava tree with it chest puffing as it poured out it's heart into the song. The moment was magical as I reflect on life simplicity and the beauty of creation like this little bird with it colorful feather that cannot go unnoticed.

Later that day, my cousins and I went to fetch water from the village stream. The path way haf tree branches form canopies and the gentle rustling of leaves created a natural orchestra. Along the way, we had birds sing us their song and as we moved deeper into the bush, more birds joined the melody, their songs rendering sweet tune that followed us. Their song seemed to narrate the journey, filling the journey moments with an uplifting energy.

As we walked down, from a distance we heard voices of children shouting and jumping into the water, calling each other as they were playing. This made us start running down. Getting close to the stream, my cousins climbed a tree and from one branch, the jump to another and then to another tree. They continued this movement till they got to the tree the has it branch facing the stream and from there they jumped into the water. It was such a nice thing to behold. We had our bath among numerous things, then filled or water pot and left for our house. I felt a deep connection to nature and it beauty. The songs of the bird reminded me of the joy I had in the experience at the str youeam and the beauty that exists even in such setting. Being in the village, surrounded by nature, nature's music, and events felt like a blessing—an opportunity to reglect and appreciate life’s simple treasures.

That Christmas was more than just a holiday, as it was another chance to reunite with family and distant relations and rediscover the hujoy in nature’s gifts. Listening to the birds sing their song both by the window and along the stream, became symbols of gratitude and hope for me. The melodies from them whispered this standing truth that the best thing in life is nature and it elements have a way of making life sweet for mankind. My dad refused me taking my phone to the stream for fear of it falling inside the water, so i couldn't take pictures while at the stream.

I pray God keep everyone alive to see next Christmas so as to have this wonderful experience and even more when next we meet.
