The prompt for #inktober day 26 is "camera." I decided to try a quick pencil sketch of my camera. To make it interesting I thought I would have the large camera facing a stick figure of a person.
The sketch took 37 minutes.
The really weird thing is that I've been unable to take a good picture of the images that I've drawn. My drawing has a decent contrast. The camera lens is slightly distorted.
In the photograph, the white balance is way off and the lens is super distorted.
I've had this problem with every picture I've done for InkTober.
Maybe my camera is getting old. i got it in 2004.
Now that I think of it. I was probably too close to the image when I took the picture and I got a fish eye effect magnified the distortion of the image.
I get the best result when I take the pictures in full sun.
But, I never manage to finish a drawing while the sun is shining.
The real reason for my sketch is that I wanted to see if Night Cafe could turn a low quality sketch into a high quality image.
I asked Night Cafe to improve the image. The camera looks more realistic.
BTW: The image of a small stick figure trying to ham up to the gigantic camera has some value as a #meme. Since I drew a picture using my mind as the primary source of the image, I will add the #POB tag.
