Hello everybody! Today we will continue and complete our virtual walk through the small town of Tsarskoye Selo, located in the suburbs of St. Petersburg. We visited there in August with my daughter and I really want to share my impressions.
INFORMATION FROM THE NETWORK: Pushkin is a city of palaces and parks half an hour's drive from St. Petersburg. Now the city is named after the poet, but for almost two centuries it was known by another name — Tsarskoye Selo. Since the beginning of the XVIII century, the summer residence of the Russian emperors has been located here. Formally, since 1936, Pushkin has been one of the districts of St. Petersburg, but in fact it is a separate town 15 km from the last metro station.
As I wrote earlier, we did not have a goal to visit the famous museums and parks of this famous city, we just walked along the streets and looked at the surroundings like ordinary curious tourists. The two-storey old building here is so atmospheric and cozy that I even had a desire to move here permanently in the future.
We were lucky with the weather and I wasn't worried about the quality of my photos. It was late afternoon, but St. Petersburg is a northern city, and twilight comes much later here than in the central cities of Russia.
As far as I read about Tsarskoye Selo (Pushkin city), there are a lot of old buildings built in the XVIII-XIX centuries, but later buildings of the Stalin era were mixed in here and they so harmoniously fit into the local urban landscape that it is difficult to distinguish them from each other.
However, in some places in the plaster elements of the decoration of buildings, you can still notice a difference: in Stalin's houses there are stars and symbols of the USSR era, although it is difficult to notice it with the naked eye.
Tomorrow, my sister, her husband and I will go on a long journey from St. Petersburg to Novgorod. There will be a large report with very beautiful photographs. And that day we wandered around Tsarskoye Selo for a while while the sun was still shining on the horizon.
Привет всем! Сегодня мы продолжим и завершим нашу виртуальную прогулку по небольшому городку Царское Село, расположенному в пригороде Петербурга. Мы побывали там в августе с моей дочкой и мне очень хочется поделиться своими впечатлениями.
СПРАВКА ИЗ СЕТИ: Пушкин — город дворцов и парков в получасе езды от Санкт-Петербурга. Сейчас город носит имя поэта, но почти два века был известен под другим названием — Царское Село. С начала XVIII века здесь находилась летняя резиденция российских императоров. Формально с 1936 года Пушкин — один из районов Санкт-Петербурга, но фактически это отдельный городок в 15 км от крайней станции метро.
Как я уже писал ранее, у нас не было цели посетить известные музеи и парки этого известного города, мы просто гуляли по улицам и рассматривали окрестности, как обычные любопытные туристы. Двухэтажная старинная застройка здесь настолько атмосферная и уютная, что у меня даже возникло желание в будущем переехать сюда насовсем.
Нам повезло с погодой и я не переживал насчёт качества своих фотографий. День клонился к вечеру, но Петербург - северный город, и здесь сумерки наступают сильно позже, чем в центральных городах России.
Насколько я читал про Царское село (город Пушкин), здесь очень много старинных зданий, выстроенных ещё в XVIII-XIX веках, но позже сюда примешались строения сталинской эпохи и они так гармонично вписались в местный городской ландшафт, что сложно отличить их друг от друга.
Правда кое-где в гипсовых элементах отделки зданий всё же можно заметить разницу: в сталинских домах присутствуют звёзди и символика эпохи СССР, правда невооружённым взглядом это сложно заметить.
Завтра мы с сестрой и её мужем отправимся в долгое путешествие из Петербурга в Новгород. Будет большой отчёт с очень красивыми фотоснимками. А в тот день мы бродили по Царскому селу ещё некоторое время, пока солнце ещё светило на горизонте.
