Hice una versión diferente de la canción original de Candy 66, una banda venezolana de metal alternativo que siempre me ha inspirado. A pesar de que su música es rock pesado, me parece que su letra tiene una profundidad y un mensaje que va más allá del género. Ayer, mientras reflexionaba sobre la canción, pensé que merecía una reinterpretación que reflejara mi propio estilo y sensibilidad. Así que me puse a trabajar en ello y, después de unas horas, creo que logré darle un giro interesante, jejeje. Como muchos de ustedes dicen, tengo la habilidad de darle mi toque personal a las canciones, y eso es lo que más me gusta hacer. Es una experiencia creativa que me permite fusionar mi esencia con la obra de otros artistas que admiro.
Candy 66 se formó en Caracas en 1998, en una época en la que el metal alternativo comenzaba a ganar terreno en Venezuela. Sin embargo, no fue hasta el año 2000 cuando realmente se consagraron en la escena musical del país. Ganaron el prestigioso Festival Nuevas Bandas, un evento que ha sido una plataforma para muchos talentos emergentes en la música venezolana. Esta victoria les dio la exposición que necesitaban para conectar con un público más amplio, y desde entonces se ganaron muchos fanáticos entre los seguidores del metal y el rock pesado en Venezuela. Su música combina una energía cruda con letras que invitan a la reflexión, algo que siempre me ha atraído.
