My Simple Plan Line up
Summoner - Conqueror Jacek
- Since the rule set given is Explosive Weaponry and Corrosive Fog, the Explosive Weaponry gives all units a Blasts ability which is a good combo for this Summoner that has Scatter ability, Speed, and Piercing. My strategy would be to dominate the opponent in speed and attack first with most of my units are in range attacks with high in speed.
First position - Arkemis the Bear
- Take on the role of the tank in first position, with a high probability of surviving the majority of rounds due to your enormous health, armor, and helpful skills like a Protec, Forcefield, Rage, and Halving.
Second position - Lava Launcher
- Act as second option tank attack range if my Arkemis theBear is executed, this is a good position as a range attack because this unit has Closed Range ability which can attack in the first position with decent 5 range damage that is a core damage of my team.
Third position - Ash Mirage
- A range support damage that can debuff or decrease opponent range units' attack by 1 and a useful Reflection ability that Counters or protects from Explosive Weaponry,
Fourth position - Djinn Inferni
- The main magic damage of my team with 5 magic damage with a chance to apply to stun the opponent and Giant Killer ability that can deal double damage against targets more than 10 mana cost.
Fifth position - Supply Runner
- This is my support range damage which can increase my speed by 1 because of Swiftness Ability. This is the perfect combo for a chance to attack first.
Last position - Countess Sinash
- Additional support range damage because of Swiftness and affliction which are useful abilities if the opponent uses healing abilities, this ability has a chance to apply affliction to its target.
Selecting a useful ability in this battle with a good amount of damage will increase your chances of victory in this type of rule set.
Will my strategy line up work?
The opponent has Valnamor Summoner, an overpowered card and useful in terms of magic with speed. The opponent has Djinn Oshannus, Prismatic Energy, and The Kraken as the tank. I believe Vile the Venka and Captain Fellblade are the core damage while Phantom Abyss can be a Support type because of useful abilities.
It seems that I dominated the opponent by speed while the opponent did dominate me in Damage difference.
Vile the Venka and Phantom of the Abyss are dealing only 1 damage against my Arkemis the Bear because of Forcefield's ability though it did damage bit counted once blasts are triggered. I easily executed Captain Fellblade because of Blast's ability and speed difference.
My Scattershot luck and Blasts from the rule set give me an advantage using this modern strategy. Notice that my Arkemis the Bear did its very job against opponent Venka the Vile and Phantom of the Abyss attacks.
What could we learn from this strategy?
The opponent may have a stronger card on wild format, but I still win with my modern strategy lineup. Examine and evaluate the possible lineup you want to use, taking into account the rules and the opponent's previous results. To use effective tactics, keep in mind that you must study your opponent's lineup, mix cards with abilities that are advantageous or appropriate for the applicable rule sets, and place them in advantageous places. You can still win even if your opponent employs powerful cards that you don't have in a lineup that is as minimal as possible.
This is another simple strategy yet helpful for certain matches in the dragon line-up element, feel free to check my other blog that uses the Water element which I commonly use, and hope this could help you in the battle. 😊
