Introduction
Welcome back to Maledicturs Terra. This is a Chain Story between myself and @lex-zaiya, meaning that we each write the parts alternatively.

Time to start muddling with the actual main storyline again and not just stick to the villain arcs. Though I am probably not completely done with them!
Part 60
No sooner had she said this than Vitex squatted down on the floor of the council room as though she were a child at play in a meadow. She reached with both hands, palms facing the floor. Large flagstones shifted and lifted upwards with a groan.
Green tendrils of plant life grew and curled into the air before the diminutive looking Goddess.
"I would prefer no damage occur to my..." The queen began but Adiran waved a hand at Mary.
"Hush now. I will repair it."
"Tsk. This site should become a shrine now." Vitex huffed. "Now that it contains a site touched by a Goddess." She stood and raised her hands and the plant sprouted row upon row of long thin leaves in pairs along its stem. The plant branched twice and each of the new branches and the original growth sprouted a bulb each. These became flowers which then became fruit. Each one of these fruit became shriveled and cracked open.
As though by command or design when the Goddess held out her hand under each fruit, they cracked open and dropped a sizable seed before her.
"These need to be planted in soil and watered. They will sprout into a plant which will allow me communication with the holder of the plant. You can plant them at any time but once you do, you will need to carry the plant in some sort of pot... or find a place it can grow in the earth you can visit when you want to communicate or make a report."
Vitex turned and walked to Derric. "My Champion. You shall bear the seed for your party. I know you shall understand how to treat it." She handed the seed to Derric who smiled and nodded his head.
Vitex walked to Adiran and frowned up at him. "Don't you think you've meddled in enough God's business?" She shook her head. "It's not for study. No. Not you. The younger. He still has time to learn to restrain his curiosity." She handed the seed to Adrian. The action made Gorma chuckle. "Look after it and just... leave it alone."
Vitex moved toward the other party. To everyone's surprise she moved past Noxus and came to stand before a man that most had overlooked sitting next to the two massive men who were not human. He had not said a word and shivered slightly and silently.
"You shall bear my gift." Vitex said softly but flatly.
Robert shook his head. "Your holiness. I am not worthy."
"You are if I say you are." Vitex glanced towards Mortis. "You don't mind if I work with this one? He was once one of yours but his time as a warrior is done I think."
It was apparent that she was not addressing Mortis himself. The revenant knight nodded his helmed head. "He served and led with honor, but I agree."
Vitex smiled and looked at Robert intently. "How about it? You are done with fighting and bloodshed right? I mean, fighting is something we have to do sometimes, but you are not interested in pursuing such a career. Why don't you work for me instead?"
Again Robert shook his head, this time more violently. "I am not worthy! I have... sinned... I am corrupted..."
"Tsk... really now? Well, how about this?" The Goddess reached out with her other hand and touched Robert on his brow. There was a darkness around the two of them for an instant and all those in the meeting room could hear a distant and eerie sound calling from a distance. Magna shivered, remembering their first encounter with the corrupt Goddess in Clarprati.
"You see the creature I have projected into your thoughts?" The Goddess withdrew her hand. "That corrupt creature was me. Not even a year ago. I was like that for several human lifetimes. I was twisted from my true nature and I committed many heinous acts. Actions that I would not condone now. Yet I bear them in my heart. I know who I am. The true me and I know that only a corrupt mind would have altered me like that. You need to take responsibility for your actions while cursed. But understand that you are not who you are meant to be until you are cured."
The former cleric stared at the Goddess as though he were watching the sun rise for the first time in his life.
"Now that the seed." Vitex said and pressed it into the man's hand.
Well... that took some doing. Its good to be amongst the gang again!
