My Reviews are behind - I might be posting a lot in quick succession.
Hey everyone. If you check my blog recently, then you will see that I spent quite some time in the hospital and this ended up with an eventual surgery. The surgery went well and I am on my way to full recovery.
But I have fallen behind on my 40k Reviews. I know I won't earn much from posting many posts in one day, but I would really just like to get all the reviews done for these factions before I am too late and the Indexes are replaced by the Codex entries.
I want to be able to analyze what is lost and what is gained.
I am back at home from the hospital and I am basically laying on my back. I can at least sit/lay and blog and catch up where I can.
Even though I am posting a lot and the main focus is to post, not earn, I will not switch earnings off. This is part of a Hobby Fund and Fund Raiser so those that want to upvote me are welcome to!
Fund Raiser - Helping a friend with funding for a Wedding!
This post is part of the current Fund Raiser where a friend has given me an offer to buy a collection of Warhammer models, the money will go to putting down deposits for his wedding arrangements.
After that I have two other hobby debts to sort out.
I am collecting funds in the following ways:
- Blogging about Warhammer to earn HBD
- Accepting donations - Can be sent directly to @zakl.hobbyfund in HBD
- Selling some of the collection to friends.

Also this has become quite the Challenge! With so many units to review in the game the consensus in the hobby community is that I will not have enough time to review all of the Datasheets before the new edition of Warhammer 40,000 came out.
I should have started when 10th edition launched!

Aeldari, Wraithblades
10th Edition Index
Wraith constructs are a dire, grimdark and almost perverse aspect of the Aeldari way of life and philosophy. It is something that stinks of desperation.
There are a few levels of Wraith construct.
But what is a Wraith? Like undead right? Well... exactly! It is the Aeldari dead, forced to fight again.
When an Aeldari dies, their soul is put into a gemstone on their armor and other Aeldari will fight tooth and nail to retrieve these soul stones.
These gemstones get added to the Infinity Matrix of their Craftworld, a sort of soul afterlife. The reason they use the stones is because the Chaos God Slaanesh would eat their souls if they did not.
However, the Aeldari are not very good at population growth. It takes forever for them to have and raise children to adulthood. In a desperate attempt to bolster their numbers they commit a heinous crime: Taking Soulstones and putting them into Wraith Constructs to fight again.
The catch? They can never re-join the Infinity Matrix.
They are doomed to fight as Wraiths for ever until eventually they fall in battle, their soulstones broken and their souls eaten by Slaanesh.
Grim...
They are 160pts for 5 of them and 340pts for 10 of them. They really SHOULD be led by a Spiritseer.
A box of 5 of them is 62.50pts

Their standard weapons are Ghostswords, they can exchange these for a Ghostaxe and a Forceshield

5 Attacks, Hitting on 4+, S6, AP-2 and 1 Damage each.

3 Attacks, Hitting on 4+, S7, AP-2 and 2 Damage each.
Abilities
Malevolent Souls
Fight on Death 4+ (If they have not yet fought this phase, but are killed can roll a 4+ and still get to attack before being removed from play.)
Wargear Abilities
Forceshield
This gives the unit a 4+ Invul save.
Thoughts
I think that 3 strong Damage 2 attacks is better than 5 Damage 1 attacks. Plus you get a 4+ Invul save. It is a no-brainer.
Axe and Shield is the better.
The only time the blades would be better is if you were using them to fight hordes and when there are Striking Scorpions and Shuriken Cannons and Scatterlasers in the army, this is not really a need.
That makes 56 Aeldari Datasheets Reviewed putting them on 93.33% Completed. The total Completed is 27.72% Complete! Can I review them all?!
