How true is that?

I found myself empowered when introduced to the concept that 'Happiness is a choice' Didn't seem realistic to me when there are so many things that could make a person unhappy. Then, I decided to practice and found I could appreciate the moment more when I was present and thoughtful, and that situational happiness is more a mood...which is indeed under our control.

Living in the moment and choosing happiness includes being happy with what you have. Why spoil that by desiring what we don't have?

Mind you, I use a desire for that which I don't have as fuel to get me off my ass and striving for productivity. I just try and choose appreciation with what I already have at the same time as working to achieve more for me and my family.

Greetings @zekepickleman ,

Thank you for dropping by...and bringing flowers at that....lovely!

So true....I was concerned that I should put a caveat with the Principle that sounded very like the last paragraph of your comment....lest we think the principle implies we should not be motivated... ^__^

For the word 'Happiness'...as a state of mind rather than from temporary stimulation....I use the word 'Contentment'...lest I get carried away..hehe

Kind Regards to you and your family,
