It has been a while and I should get a #WeekendExperiences (founded by @galenkp,) #SublimeSunday (inspired by @c0ff33a) and #BeautifulSunday (initiated by @ace108) post in before this autumn turns into winter!

A mild Canadian Fall weekend sure must be good for a #vibes blog post.

The Prompt

What was your favourite toy when you were a child?

I had to think ling and hard about this one. I had a bunch of star wars toys and GI Joes that I loved. Old video game systems that were pretty formative. Rubber WWF wrestlers and so many other cool toys. When I came down to it, my hickey stick was the one I played with throughout the years with so many friends in different settings. Turns out it would one (along with those video game systems) that I would continue to play with all my life to this point. I still love my hockey stick and the guys on the team.

Left Over Work

The end of the week actually left me with a little extra stuff to do on the weekend. Better busy than bored as a business owner so I was alright with it. Another 1,000 or so Stratford Times to deliver to assorted locations around town. We are a distribution & promotion partner in the name of local news and it is good for 10k @actifit steps every couple weeks.




A bit more work, if you can call it that, was attending a staff event at one of the fanciest restaurants in town. It was a new menu introduction for the winter season and dammit was it a feast at Revival House




The next stop on our weekend tour was a stop at a jam space where a video and record release promotion was being planned. A few local legends have come together for a new album for the first time in years and were looking to us for some video content and event promotion. I will be sure to share their tracks with the blockchain and take you along for the ride.




Next up, my better half dragged me to Dueling Pianos. Neat show with 2 guys playing all the instruments on keyboards and pianos, singing well together. Wild array of cover tuned made it a great night.



The dessert for the evening was a neat cherry rootbeer chocolate cake. Ya, it was as good as that sounds.

Dog Wars

It wouldn't be a good weekend experience without visiting the dog park with the little guy. He does love to nap with us and patrol his yard but not much makes him happier than headed to the park. Either running through the trails or sparring with dogs close to his size, it it his happy place and an extra hour on the weekend is a good investment.



@davedickeyyall asked me why I call this Bird House Tree when there are neither houses nor birds in it. IN this shot, you can see the house that was nailed half way up, but has fallen down. Mystery solved. I may have to bring a latter and put it back up.

Beer

The sun has gone down on another autumn weekend that held as much fun as it did rest. Music and food and dogs and beer sure make for a sublime end to the week. Gives you fuel to attack Monday as a strong start to the next week.
