Feliz y hermoso día estimados amigos de @holos-lotus, Dios pueda bendecirlos en este día y siempre. La amiga @damarysvibra en su columna "lntegrales y en expansión nos presenta una iniciativa titulada ¿Para qué está el otro allí?. A fin de comprender mejor la respuesta a esta interrogante me planteo la pregunta "Para qué estoy yo acá en relación a otros?" y la respuesta viene a mi mente de forma rápida y sencilla, es "Para servir".
Hace poco se realizó en mi iglesia "el día de oración por los niños huérfanos del mundo", por ser parte del Ministerio de las posibilidades me tocó presentar el tema que envió la División Interamericana de la Iglesia Adventista y realizar la oración por los niños huérfanos del mundo. El tema presentaba el testimonio de diferentes niños y adolescentes, huérfanos y vulnerables de distintas edades que tuvieron la oportunidad de encontrar en su camino a alguien que los amo y los ayudó en su desarrollo logrando alcanzar así sus metas. Añadí al tema algunos textos bíblicos en que Dios menciona nuestra responsabilidad con los huérfanos, tomé 10 textos, de los más o menos 40 textos bíblicos que el buscador de Google me arrojó, quiere decir que es un aspecto muy importante para Dios y al que debemos prestar atención.
Ese día sentí tristeza ante la problemática mundial que presentan los niños vulnerables alrededor del mundo, durante la oración tuve que hacer un esfuerzo para no llorar. Oramos por los niños huérfanos víctimas de las guerras que hay actualmente, rogamos a Dios con el corazón los ayudase, que colocará a sus alrededores personas buenas, amables, dispuestas a ayudarles y cuidarles, que no les faltase el alimento, que enviara sus ángeles que cuidarán de ellos. Nuestra iglesia a nivel mundial a través de ADRA brinda ayuda social en distintos lugares, pero los desafíos son inmensos. Nuestra iglesia local a veces hace actividades de servicio también. Pero hay muchas personas en el mundo carentes de todo, no solo económico, también espiritual.
Posteriormente, realizamos un compartir con los niños de la iglesia y algunos amiguitos invitados, esto con la finalidad de transmitir felicidad, esperanza, fe amor, apoyo, a los niños. Entre ellos habían algunos niños vulnerables junto con su mamá, la iglesia les brinda a ellos diferentes apoyo en muchas ocasiones.
Aparte del almuerzo, las galletas y los ponqués se repartió 18 kits de higiene personal, les pedí a varios hermanos me colaborarán con uno o dos artículos y así pude con mucho cariño armar los regalitos, Emirys me ayudó a hacer los lazos. Compré de mi parte las galletas y junto con otra amiga los ingredientes de los ponqués. Me sentí muy bien tanto por el tema, la oración y el compartir con los niños, pero también aún más sensible ante las necesidades de otros, bien sea físicas o espirituales.
Esta iniciativa traída a la comunidad me hace pensar en las palabras de Jesús cuando dijo que vino a esta tierra no para ser servido sino para servir, así mismo cada uno de nosotros tiene una función de servicio en relación al otro. La ley del servicio está escrita en la naturaleza, las flores regalan sus aromas al que se les acerca, los árboles dan sus frutos que sirven de alimento a hombres y animales, el sol da su calor, el viento su frescor, todos sirven a los demás.
Si analizamos un poco cada trabajo que realizamos tiene impacto social, es decir favorece al otro, servimos a otros mediante nuestras profesiones. El abogado que defiende a otro, el arquitecto que hace un edificio en donde vivirán otros, el albañil que arregla o construye la casa de otro, el médico que salva y cura a otros, el carpintero que hace una puerta o una ventana que resguarda la casa de otro, el que limpia la calle por donde transitará otro. Todas las profesiones y oficios influyen en otros. Como profesora educo a otros, enseño y contribuyó a formar a otros, sin duda es un gran privilegio este servicio.
En la sociedad hay un grupo de "otros" que han sido ignorados por la mayoría, a los cuales Dios nos insta a buscar y servir.
"aprended a hacer el bien; buscad el juicio, restituid al agraviado, haced justicia al huérfano, amparad a la viuda.(Isaías 1:17)
Son las personas vulnerables, el pobre, el huérfano,la viuda. La Biblia dice que la verdadera religión es ayudarles, a todas las personas que necesitan. Atenderlas en sus necesidades debe ser prioridad en la sociedad, la atención a estos otros son una prueba del amor que alberga nuestro corazón.
Sin duda no tener muchos recursos como nos sucede a muchos de nosotros podemos sentirlo como limitante, sin embargo hay personas que necesitan una oración, compañía, ánimo, una palabra, atención, que les escuchen, simpatía, basta con mirar nuestro entorno con amor para ver esas necesidades y se abrirán nuestros ojos. Esos vecinos, abuelos, cuyos hijos se fueron y están lejos de ellos en estas navidades por ejemplo. Actualmente, hay también muchos niños y jóvenes en Venezuela que viven sin la compañía de sus padres porque estos emigraron y a pesar que viven con otros parientes en su interior experimentan sensación de abandono. Algunos padres tienen 7 u 8 años sin venir y han formado familias fuera, sus hijos aquí se sienten abandonados, no comprenden por su edad muchas cosas. Si hay alguno así en nuestro entorno familiar, educativo o social mostremos simpatía y llevemos esperanza y fe a sus corazones, sobre todo en estas fechas especiales de navidad y año nuevo.
Para que está allí el otro? Para ayudarle, animarle, servirle en sus necesidades, bien sea físicos, mentales, económicos o espirituales y para aprender el lenguaje práctico del amor de Dios. Somos instrumentos en sus manos para ayudar a otros.

Happy and beautiful day dear friends of @holos-lotus, may God bless you on this day and always. Friend @damarysvibra in her column "Integral and expanding" presents us with an initiative entitled What is the other there for?. In order to better understand the answer to this question, I ask myself the question "Why am I here in relation to others?" and the answer comes to my mind quickly and easily, it is "To serve."
Recently, "the day of prayer for the orphaned children of the world" was held in my church. As part of the Ministry of Possibilities, I had to present the topic that was sent by the Inter-American Division of the Adventist Church and to pray for the orphaned children of the world. The theme presented the testimony of different children and adolescents, orphans and vulnerable people of different ages who had the opportunity to find someone on their way who loved them and helped them in their development, thus achieving their goals. I added to the theme some biblical texts in which God mentions our responsibility with the orphans. I took 10 texts from the more or less 40 biblical texts that the Google search engine threw at me, which means that it is a very important aspect for God and one that we must pay attention to.
That day I felt sadness at the global problem faced by vulnerable children around the world. During the prayer I had to make an effort not to cry. We pray for the orphaned children who are victims of the wars that are currently taking place. We pray with all our hearts to God to help them, to place good, kind people around them, willing to help and care for them, to ensure that they do not lack food, to send his angels to take care of them. Our church worldwide through ADRA provides social help in different places, but the challenges are immense. Our local church sometimes does service activities as well. But there are many people in the world who lack everything, not only financially, but also spiritually.
Later, we shared with the children of the church and some invited friends, with the aim of transmitting happiness, hope, faith, love, and support to the children. Among them were some vulnerable children along with their mother, and the church provides them with different types of support on many occasions.
Apart from lunch, cookies and cakes, 18 personal hygiene kits were distributed. I asked several brothers to help me with one or two items and so I was able to lovingly put together the gifts. Emirys helped me make the bows. I bought the cookies on my behalf and, with another friend, the ingredients for the cakes. I felt very good about the theme, the prayer and sharing with the children, but also even more sensitive to the needs of others, whether physical or spiritual.
This initiative brought to the community makes me think of the words of Jesus when he said that he came to this earth not to be served but to serve, and likewise each one of us has a service function in relation to the other. The law of service is written in nature, flowers give their aromas to those who approach them, trees give their fruits that serve as food for men and animals, the sun gives its heat, the wind its freshness, everyone serves others.
If we analyze a little, each job we do has a social impact, that is, it favors others, we serve others through our professions. The lawyer who defends another, the architect who builds a building where others will live, the bricklayer who fixes or builds another's house, the doctor who saves and cures others, the carpenter who makes a door or a window that protects another's house, the one who cleans the street where another will walk. All professions and trades influence others. As a teacher I educate others, I teach and I contribute to forming others, this service is undoubtedly a great privilege.
In society there is a group of "others" who have been ignored by the majority, whom God urges us to seek out and serve. "Learn to do good; seek justice, restore the oppressed, do justice to the fatherless, and defend the widow. (Isaiah 1:17)
They are the vulnerable people, the poor, the orphan, the widow. The Bible says that true religion is to help them, all the people who need it. Attending to their needs should be a priority in society, attention to these others is a proof of the love that our heart harbors.
Without a doubt, not having many resources, as happens to many of us, can be felt as a limitation, however, there are people who need prayer, company, encouragement, a word, attention, to be listened to, sympathy, just look at our surroundings with love to see those needs and our eyes will open. Those neighbors, grandparents, whose children left and are far from them this Christmas, for example. Currently, there are also many children and young people in Venezuela who live without the company of their parents because they emigrated and despite living with other relatives inside them, they experience feeling of abandonment. Some parents have not come for 7 or 8 years and have started families elsewhere, their children here feel abandoned, they do not understand many things because of their age. If there is someone like that in our family, educational or social environment, let us show sympathy and bring hope and faith to their hearts, especially during these special dates of Christmas and New Year.
Why is the other person there? To help him, encourage him, serve him in his needs, whether physical, mental, economic or spiritual and to learn the practical language of God's love. We are instruments in his hands to help others.
