Magandang buhay!
Thursday evening already and it has been generally quiet for us, except later in the day when I screamed ouch and cried (in my head, that is).
We stopped right in front of the fruit store and I got out of the car, closed the door behind me, and attempted to walk away but could not move. Turning back, I realized three fingers on my left hand (index, middle, and ring finger) got caught in the door.😬

Huh?
Yes. Crazy!
I would have screamed but noticed all eyes (of the other customers) were on me, so I faked a grin instead saying, "My fingers didn't want to be out with me I had to go back for them," to which some of them laughed. "That must hurt a lot, and you may lose sensation on those fingers soon. Do you need any help?" the storeowner was concerned. "Thank you but don't worry, I'm a tough weed so I will live," I replied jokingly but deep within, I wanna cry out loud.😭
It's funny (not so!) that when the same thing happened to the Farmboy sometime ago, I teased him saying "Why would you close the door when you know your fingers are still there?" Now that it happened to me, I couldn't even fathom why I did the same thing, lol! And worst, I even turned my back not knowing my fingers were pinched in it. My mind may have gone elsewhere🤣

"You would have been the first in the family to lose fingers for being absent-minded," Dad teased upon learning about what happened. Thankfully, it didn't have to go that far.
I was glad I didn't slam the door hard or my fingers would have been badly hurt. They were numb, dark, hot, and painful for a little while but after soaking them in icy (cold) water, they are better now. Although I may have to nurse my middle finger tonight as it still hurts when it bends. Other than that, everything is okay.
