Welcome weather for Texas

in #aliveandthriving4 months ago

Normally the weather in texas is very hot with average temperatures of around 100 degrees Fahrenheit. This past week we have had a lot of rain and the temperatures have been surprisingly pleasant. The high temperature has been in the low 90 with overnight lows in the low 70s.

The water body in the photo is lake LBJ. Which is fed by the Colorado and Llano rivers. Further up the llano river there wax a strom that dropped over 12 inches of rain yesterday. We were lucky here and only received around two inches of rain.

This is highly unusual as this area normally only receives around 20 to 25 inches of rain per year and normally very little during the month of july.

Today the runoff from all of yesterday’s rain could be seen in the lake. This morning the water was very blue and now it is brown from all the dirt and debris that has washed from up river.

The clouds were offering several variations from the bright whote ones on the left of the photo to the rain shower you can see in the distance on the right.

I am doing very well however just not publishing very often. I have been very busy with lots if other stuff. I am getting back into it very slowly so will share more as possible. Take care everyone and enjoy life.
