The silly Allibies

For a couple of days now, I've been seeing posts of people who claimed to know Luigi Mangione (the shooter) on a personal level. I thought, initially that is, that Luigi must be a very popular dude, and thus I should have expected it, but then I clicked on a post.

As it turns out, these posts are some sort of war cry, a modern version of it, if you will.

They are accompanied by a few lines of course, and all of them seem to have a variation of this:

It was great seeing my friend Luigi Mangione in Tulsa on 12-4-2024 between 6am and 6pm

The comment section of these posts are filled with support for Luigi, and even more fictitious stories of his heroic acts.

But, you might be asking yourself, as am I; Does this actually help?

I suspect not in the legal case itself, it simply can't. There is no way the jury will pull up these poorly photoshoped images and claim he couldn't have been the guy, but it's not like it won't have an effect at all.

The relationship with Insurance Companies has changed

We still don't know by how much, but it's impossible to put the cat back in the bag, and they know it.

I wish the country could come together like this over other issues, but maybe that's asking for a little too much.
