Hello Steve,
Still keeping an eye out for problems and protests here in South America. Today we have the television workers protesting at the Congress building. I was riding and heard explosions - fireworks - specifically the areal bombs that just shoot up on a rocket and explode to make the biggest bang for the buck.
It is a pretty class act. They all have their company uniform polo shirts on and have easy to read Union banners.
They had a literal "Band Wagon" with amps and music going. I could not safely get close to hit but it is back there where you see the smoke.
Most of the vehicles parked around the Congress plaza are for cable-vision and "Flow" which is high speed internet.
I had heard a lot of fireworks before I got to the plaza and even saw the smoke from where they were launched. I have over twenty minutes of video - was hoping to get the next launch - but they did not put up any other fireworks even after I rode away.
Again, it was early when I got there, on my way home from a morning doctor appointment and more were showing up as I left. This will probably get huge.
I am not out every day, but if I were, I could certainly find one or two 'bolonquis' happening if I did a quick circuit around the city, more if I went out to the surrounding areas.
Even the word is messed up - original is quilombo
