A Couple of Brothers of the Light Bee

I was in the shop the other day. You can see the size of our Surron on the right, but this brother has street tires. I think it looks a bit strange with street tires on it, but I guess many people wanted to use it on the streets. The reason is simple. They are allowed on the streets just like any other "bike" since the laws have not caught up with the tech as of yet.

There is one. Only one. The Surron Storm Bee

I do not own one of these. - Just here to see it on build day.
Here is what it looks like upon arrival. My middle son works here so I get a call when the cool products come in. He gets to build them which is a dream come true for him. I would unbox these for free.

The wheels are next to each other. The suspension is held it the collapsed position with straps. When it is fully assembled, you would be hard pressed to find a man who could sit on it with both feet touching the ground. We are talking 37 inches at the seat! These are designed for racing on rough terrain and mud - ground clearance is everything.

Down here, these are going for just shy of $12,000 and they are not allowed on the streets. Here are some specs. So you know what we are dealing with.

I am off to look for new brake pads for my Surron. Next we will be increasing the top speed to 80kph but I will not be doing that until we replace the worn brakes.
