Chapter 3: The Devil's Duo
Victor LaGraine and Aurora "Rory" Wynter were a match made in hell. They had met in a dingy, underground nightclub, bonding over their shared love of darkness and chaos.
Victor, with his chiseled jawline and piercing blue eyes, was the charismatic frontman of the duo. He was a master manipulator, using his charm and good looks to lure victims into their trap.
Rory, on the other hand, was a petite, raven-haired woman with an icy gaze and a mischievous grin. She was a skilled huntress and thrill-seeker, reveling in the fear and pain she inspired in their victims.
Together, Victor and Rory formed a deadly duo, using their complementary skills to stalk, capture, and kill their prey. They were a formidable team, always staying one step ahead of their pursuers... until Kanaq, the Indian tracker, started to close in on them.
As Kanaq delved deeper into the lair, he began to uncover clues that pointed to the identity of the killers. He found a piece of torn fabric caught in a rock crevice, a fabric that seemed to match the description of Victor's jacket. He also found a strand of raven-black hair, which seemed to match Rory's distinctive locks.
Kanaq's gut told him that he was getting close to the truth. He could feel the presence of the killers, like a dark and malevolent force lurking just out of sight.
As he continued to track the killers, Kanaq couldn't help but wonder what drove them to commit such heinous crimes. Were they motivated by a desire for power, or was it something more sinister? He knew that he had to get inside their minds, to understand their twisted motivations, if he was going to have any chance of catching them.
Kanaq's thoughts were interrupted by the sound of Grey's hooves on the rocky terrain. He looked up to see the horse approaching, its ears pricked up in alertness.
"What is it, boy?" Kanaq asked, reaching out to pat the horse's neck.
Grey snorted and pawed the ground, as if trying to tell Kanaq something. Kanaq's eyes narrowed as he scanned the surrounding area, his senses on high alert.
And then, he saw it. A faint plume of smoke rising from a nearby ridge. Kanaq's heart quickened as he realized that the killers might be closer than he thought.
Without hesitation, Kanaq mounted Grey and set off towards the ridge, his eyes fixed on the smoke. He knew that he was taking a risk, but he couldn't shake the feeling that he was closing in on the killers.
As he rode, Kanaq's mind raced with possibilities. What would he find when he reached the ridge? Would the killers be waiting for him, or would they have already escaped?
Kanaq's questions were answered as he crested the ridge and saw the killers' campsite spread out before him. His eyes locked onto Victor and Rory, who were standing by a roaring fire, their faces illuminated by the flickering flames.
Kanaq's gut told him that this was it. This was his chance to finally bring the killers to justice. He drew his rifle and took aim, his finger tightening on the trigger...
