Polar cats

Our arctic cats always manage to surprise me with how they handle the cold outside. At the start of the cold this winter I was very worried about what we could do for them this year as they are sleeping in a box under the wood shed. The shed is not insulated, not even closed, there are two solid brick walls in the corner where their box is placed, another wall that has a wooden lattice at the top, ie. is open. And a "wall" that is completely open because it is surrounded by a wooden lattice. Well, we closed that grid with nylon as much as we could to stop wind gusts from several sides or rain or snow from getting inside the shed. But... I'm not sure cats are impressed by that.
Because these are polar cats, I convince myself of this every day. They are walking in the rain right now and don't seem to care at all. They are constantly wet - top and bottom, but maybe the water can't reach the skin because of the thick fur and they don't care lol. Well, that's being a polar bear/sorry cat 🐻‍❄️🐈😸
