These photos were taken at Kobe Design University at a culture festival. Students displayed their works of art. Here we can see students as models, dressed in black. I thought these would be fitting for this week’s photo and color challenge. Here we can see four models.
Hi hivers and members of the Dbuzz community. I’ve been trying to catch this color challenge. I almost caught white but realized entries were already in. Last week, I thought,”I’m definitely catching it this week”. When I checked, I saw that the color was gray. I checked my photos and could hardly find a gray item and none that would have had the color occupying 75% of the total image. I checked this week’s color and saw that it was BLACK. I wasn’t sure what I would have found but checked my photos and found the ones you see above. The color or shade as some may call it, made me think of a few words or phrases. Maybe you were happy to catch a Black Friday Sale but a blackout and a black eye are two things you probably don’t want to have or experience. Lol!

Interpretation of the Photos
I’m not sure what the models, photographer or artist wanted to portray. From the first photo, I see someone looking pensive. She seems to be in deep thoughts, in a dark space. She seems a bit down. She wears black and accents of beads around her eyes, neck and wrist.
The three models in the second photo also look a bit down and are literally looking down but not as pensive. They wear black with accents of gold and have beads marked “X” above their noses.
I think the “black” in the photos creates good contrast and makes the beads and gold pop.
What’s your interpretation of the photos above?
Thank you for reading my post.
Have a great week. 😃
