Community Celebration : The Chess Community

The beauty of chess is it can be whatever you want it to be. It transcends language, age, race, religion, politics, gender, and socioeconomic background. Whatever your circumstances, anyone can enjoy a good fight to the death over the chess board.

I have always loved the game of chess. I learnt how to play chess when i was ten, and I've played for 11 years now. It is a game that goes beyond the board as it has helped build me to become a better person and helped me connect to different people all over the world.

Upon seeing the Community celebration challenge by @guiltyparties , I believe it's an opportunity to put this out there how great the chess community on hive is!

THE CHESS COMMUNITY

The Chess Community was created by @jaki01 for the main purpose of bringing chess players together. Just like how we have chess clubs and associations, the chess community was created for chess lovers to write about chess. It could be tournament reports, their own games or even chess puzzles.

The community has grown over the years and I'm proud to be a part of it.

Play To Earn

Over the years, the community has grown and now we have tournaments in which people on hive can earn rewards by playing chess.

We have three main tournaments organized by the leaders of the chess community.

@Stayoutoftherz @schamangerbert & @chessbrotherspro.

We play these tournaments every weekend (Fridays to sundays) and it is open to everyone as long as you can play chess.

In Conclusion...

Thanks to you @guiltyparties for the opportunity to bring these communities to spot light. I believe the chess community have proven over the years how a small community can grow with love and passion.

A community cannot grow without love. I appreciate every #HiveChess Player on the Blockchain! The number keeps increasing. Yes, we love the game. we also love and support each other.

Hopefully the community grows bigger and we start having different sections of tournaments. Someday, I hope we can have a big event featuring grandmasters, all earning #Hive.

I'm happy to be part of the movement and I know the community can only get bigger from here.
