Too many people are unproductive with their time.
It's so easy to procrastinate and do nothing with your phone in your hand and the world at your fingertips but that is killing our brains.
From everything that i've seen and read the people who are successful are the ones who maximize their time and effort. I've had a broken couple of weeks with the storm and the power cut, moving into the inlaws and a busy weekend. I could see myself reverting to bad habits very fast.
After making a big start to the year on hive and upping my activity and consistency to a better place it only took a small break to get me doom scrolling on Instagram again. They are built to grab our attention and it takes an effort not to open the apps and waste an hour that could be put to anything else.
I have a hundred jobs that i could be doing around the house. We have a wedding to plan for May or I could be online earning crypto or increasing my knowledge of what's going on around the place.
Anything is better than burning through my time on Instagram with no return on time invested what so ever and probably a loss of brain cells form watching the idiots who come across my screen.
Momentum and Motivation
Action breeds action. Once you start doing something, it's easier to keep the momentum going.
This is known as the "flywheel effect", where initial efforts gradually become easier as they build momentum. For individuals, this means the more you do, the more motivated you become to achieve further. Doing nothing, on the other hand, can lead to inertia, where starting becomes progressively harder the longer you wait.
Crypto is very much built on a flywheel effect as building a good stack speeds up your growth and leads to more profits and tokens.
That's why it's so important to turn up as often as possible and do something. Anything.
It's how you will create success from any level.
This applies across anything in life. Taking any positive step forward is a better option than staying stationary and doing nothing.
Every step that you take will burn calories. Every weight you lift or exercise you do adds to the total. It might seem small and irrelevant now but if you keep taking these small steps they add up to a large total in time.
I still remember how hard it was to earn my first 50 Hive. It took weeks of commenting and posting to attract a few votes. Now it takes about two days.
Back then i had no crypto at all. Now i have dozens across multiple chains.
Every day i turn up and get active adds to that total and continues the growth. After that ti's just a case of motivation to make the right moves.
