I’ve been off Hive for awhile mostly because I was moving house. For a few days I was pretty busy with packing, loading and unloading the moving truck and lots of cleaning in the new place. It has 3 floors so things like cleaning the floor and just normal stuff, well it takes a while.
I was doing most of the heavy lifting and carrying bags up the stairs so at least I got a pretty good work out during the move. The new place we are in is so much better than the old one. So much more spacious for the 6 of us and just nicer overall. I’m sure some of you have seen @misslasvegas post about it already and know what its like.
So I will just mention a little bit about it and what I like about the area. Like I said it has 3 floors, it has a lovely roof top, great kitchen which makes it's a lot easier and just feels nicer to do more home cooking. The sitting room is connected to the kitchen and there is a spacious outside area downstairs as well as the roof. It has 4 bedrooms. Oh and I nearly forgot it has 3 pools, because one wasn’t enough right.
In the old place, we were a lot more on top of each other as the place was smaller so being here it’s already so nice to have the extra space and be able to be on one floor and it just be quiet, more space to move around in the kitchen, or for everyone to watch tv and have the extra space on the couch that we aren’t stuck to each other. Just little things like that. Like @misslasvegas says - Luxury problems.
One thing I think is great about this place is that it’s close to more local areas. It’s like another world to what we’ve seen in the more tourist areas. It’s so nice to see and experience how the local live. It’s more of an authentic Mexican experience I would say. We can also just cycle to a small fruit market where it’s so much more cheaper than the grocery stores and better produce. We always said we would much rather give our money to the local stands than big co-operations anyway so it’s seems pretty perfect. It’s also an easy enough walk into the centre, yesterday I walked in around 6pm when it wasn’t so hot and what was about a 45 min walk only felt like 20 minutes. Another thing that’s great is there is plenty of space to skateboard in the complex, so I can get more practice in.
We are all pretty much settled in already and now that all the moving is out of the way I can get back to posting more :)
Here are a few photos I took last night of the pools, I’ve been meaning to go swimming later in the evening as they look so nice, last night they were just closing as we got to them so it will have to be tonight.
The kids play area beside one of the pools.
Photos I took from the rooftop, its always so peaceful to sit up there at night.
