Lovely poem, makes me think...
So do your questions at the end. They have in common that they suggest one measures their self-esteem or worthiness as a projection from the outside. How other people/the world look upon us. So here's another question:
Should not our own happiness in the end be independent of what others might think about us?
Hmmmmm another question I ponder about myself
But I guess in as much as they should be independent of others, our lives are intertwined with the people around us, our close friends and family and somehow it is important how these people view us, what kind of impact we have on them and how our presence has made things better or worse for them.
I feel if people become more aware of their influence on others they might just strive to be better people(especially parents and children relationship)
That is true, indeed. And it feels good to be loved and to love.
It also pains being viewed in a bad light.
Yes, we should reflect on that. Did we do something wrong? But this path of self-doubt is a dangerous one. Sometimes we did not do anything wrong and yet we get the feeling it is our fault.
Recognizing those moments and developing a healthy reflection on that lays ground for true happiness and a healthy self-esteem.

Sadly I have to say I see the opposite sometimes. Those with influence and aware of it use it to raise their self-esteem by lowering that of others.
P.S.: I thank you very much for engaging in this discussion
You are welcome 🤗
And thank you for your time
I have a lot to say but lemme give you a break
Might just write about something similar in my next post or some other time ☺️
