Congratulations Helios community, together we have burnt 420,000 HELIOS Strong! 💪
Just as promised in our last burn post from last year, today is the day we burned the difference, the remaining tokens needed to bring the total HELIOS burned up to the magical 420,000 on 4/20!
The Helios project has greatly exceeded all of our expectations. Throughout the past year HELIOS has made many strides in leaps and bounds towards achieving our goal of creating as much coin utility as possible for the project, and hopefully the upcoming year will be no different.
In one year our team has increased the utility of HELIOS severalfold, expanding from HIVE post boosts, to HIVE defending downvotes, then burn for new HIVE accounts, and more receintly burn for BEE Boosts. The next token on our curation list will be the burn for POB Curation program, with the definate possibility of adding even more tokens to the list of HELIOS utility in the future.
Right now we’re working on some more HELIOS housekeeping!
Before we expand any further we need to take a step back to improve on a few key areas to ensure we keep the HELIOS platform autonomous and running problem free. On the rare occasion that the Heroku server goes down, whether it be for maintenance or an unexpected glitch, we need to be ready for anything. Unexpected server downtime can cause problems like a missed payment or refund. To remedy this we’re implementing a script to save hive block checkpoints so that when the server does has an outage the system can always pick up where we left off. This script, which we're debugging now, will be one small step for our server, and a giant leap for HELIOS stability in the long run!
Once this latest update is implemented we will have an even more robust HELIOS infrastructure with way less room for error, which will give us more freedom to continue advancing the website into a global infrastructure, meaning condensing all the different functions under one page. We would like to make our UI as simple as possible for everyone, so consolidating as many features as possible to remove any repetitiveness is the next goal. We also plan on building out the website appearance by adding more helpful information such as an official roadmap, & adding some featured user posts too.
Here at HELIOS, we plan to continue pushing the envelope to bring our ideas to life. It’s an exciting time to be witnessing the advancements in crypto, and getting skin in the game early on is key, and HELIOS is no exception. With only a million coins ever to be minted, and already 420,000 of them burnt & gone forever, there is not much time left to get in on the ground floor of the HELIOS project before it’s too late. Time is money when it comes to HELIOS, the more time that goes by the more valuable these tokens will prove to be.
