LET THE STORY BEGIN!!

Good morning Hivers. Today's a beautiful day and one in which I'm very pumped up and excited about.
My excitement is a progeny of an idea to start a kind of online journal, recording the chronological events that'll be happening between now and a very important point in my life.
Now, what's this so important point that needs recording?
Well, as a medical student, my very first professional exams are already knocking at the door. I mean it's seriously banging it's fist against the door.
If you are a medical student or know a thing or two about how life in med. School is like, you'd probably have heard of our professional exams.
All over the world, medical board exams are most talked about in Med. School. One of the most prominent is the United State's USMLE, in fact if you type in your google search bar "most difficult exams in the world" USMLE is sure to be in 1 out of every 2 search results. Yes, that's exactly the hype around these exams.
Here in Nigeria, it's not any different. I feel the hype here is crazily crazy, yeah it's that crazy and the reason for it is that it's a make or mar exam in med school.
Just like the USMLE that's broken into steps, here in Nigeria the medical board exams are split into 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th MBs, which you have to take as you progress in med school.
The 2nd MB is the gate I'm standing at right now and i dare to say it's the most intense, most talked about and probably most difficult not because of anything else but because it decides your fate in the medical field.
The 2nd MB is like a river that separates preclinicals from clinicals in med school. So if you are able to cross the river you know your feet are somewhat steady in pursuing a career in medicine.
However, a complete fail means you're out of medical school.
Having established this foundation, you'd agree with me that the journey to crossing the river or jumping over the huddle of 2nd MB is a subject that makes for a good journal.
Where does Adullam come in here?
Adullam is an idea from a popular bible story of David who was anointed to be king but had run to save his life from the then king, Saul, to a place called Adullam.
While he was there, he hid in the cave of Adullam and gathered unto himself worthless men whom he trained and later came to be known as David's mighty men. And David himself became a proper leader.
So in essence, Adullam is a metaphor for a place of making.
I believe strongly in my heart that it's a mountain I've surmounted already but there's work to be done to make it a reality. So basically what I'll be doing here is sharing the whole process that leads to that success.
