Perhaps my love for nature, the countryside, green spaces and landscapes, mountains, fields, rolling hills, plains, and farmlands (may it be in the lowlands or here in the highlands and also overseas), is obvious from my posts. Even when I started creating content on-chain, they have been the subject of my write-ups. It's always a joy to capture, document, and share anything related to them and more.
Thinking about it, back in my teen years, I preferred cityscapes and did enjoy living in various metropolises (here in the country and abroad) until my early 30s. Little did I know that things would change as the years go by. These days, I adore the quietness of my surroundings and appreciate the scenery or landscape I wake up to each day.
We take road trips to climb other mountains, explore lakes, trek to the Blue Soil Mountain or to the jungle, walk in the Tree Park and such.
Perhaps it's not surprising to those who read me. Some might be getting bored already and I'm offering no apologies, lol!😅 Today is no different because this post is about the fields and farmlands along the roads of Viscaya, another region we intend to explore more in the coming months or even years.
As usual, these were snapped while we were on the highway on a speeding car. The Lil Guy prides himself on looking out the window, pretending to enjoy the scenery, lol! Maybe he likes the view :)
Having no paddy or rice fields in our own town, I'm always fascinated whenever I see one. Truth is, I have a secret wish to experience planting or sowing rice like the one in the short video below.
It seems fun but I understand it's not as easy as it looks. Even so, I truly wish to try it someday (it feels like I mentioned that before).
Anyway, the following photos show a glimpse of beautiful and curvy hills and mountains in the distance. Viscaya is strategically located about 268 kilometers from Manila and is generally mountainous so hills and mountains are a common sight in the region. It is bordered by Benguet (my province), Ifugao, Isabela, Quirino, Pangasinan, Nueva Ecija, and Aurora.
Some farmhouses surrounded by trees and fields. It must be nice to live in a place like that.
Palm trees and others look tall and proud along the edges of the fields.
No matter the size - small or expansive, I love them all! Seeing and capturing them on camera gives me pleasure. Vast fields or plains, mountains, and hills remind me that I am but a speck in the whole creation and thus make me grounded and grateful.
There are many more in my gallery and rest assured that I'll be sharing about them too, one day soon.
Happy Friday, frens!
