Some moments to reflect on

in #freewriteup8 months ago

Last evening while taking a stroll at the beach me and hubby were talking about our normal day to day stuff, and then he asked me how is my Hive progressing. In the initial days he would help me a lot in my work, he would help me with the fine tuning of the content and the voting part, both of us managed the account together but then with his work gradually his involvement became lesser and lesser and now since the last 3 years he has been completely cut off. But he does keep checking with me on the work. He keeps asking me of the old timers.

I told him that now the people I interact with are a whole set of new people who he does not know anyone of them. In the 6.5 years of journey so many people I have come across on this platform. With some of them I have build up very special relation like my dear @taliakerch, she is like a sister to me, apart from hive also we have found space for each other in our personal lives. There are other few also with who I interact apart from Hive and it feels nice to have build this strong relationship with people here.

This is not a thank you post, but yet it may sound like one. In the current times on Hive, there are few people whose support have been constant and I am very grateful to them for being around so regularly though I know they cannot say the same for me.

Continuing my conversation with hubby on the progress of Hive, I was telling him how the dynamics of the platform has changed all the good and the not very good part of it and yes also the drama that keeps happening. He is still not able to grasp the community part very well, because when he was active the community concept had just started and it was not very strong like how it is now. Also the Hive tokens, all of this is still not to his full understanding.

It does take time for someone to understand the whole working of Hive, it has expanded and there is so much within it now to explore. But from all of it what I enjoy most is the engagement part on Hive.
He was then checking with me, how long do I wish to continue, he sees that there are times when I really have to make a lot of effort on keeping up with it, specially right now with my house project also going on. I just told him that there is no expiry or end date to Hive now. As long as Hive continues so will I. It is a very addictive journey and not something that you can easily say good bye to. I guess for some of us it may be a life long journey and a source of income.

Thank you for visiting my blog. 👼🏻👼🏻💖💖🌹🌺🌸

Hive is a very complex ecosystem. It's sophisticated and not very user friendly thus making it quite difficult for newbies to understand. However, once you get the gist of it, a new world full of possibilities opens up.

You are right, once you get a hang of it then it becomes simple and you have ample opportunities to make good use of your time and talent

Yes we keep learning here and growing. It's nice to keep continuing with whatever time we can manage

I didn't see a notification (never look at them btw:)) so I just came to read your news as always and heeeey, what did I see?:))
thank you so much, my dear, a pleasant surprise!! you are like my sister as well!!

and you know...I had the same thoughts about Hive. Sometimes hard to continue, sometimes hard to understand what will be and when, but still...addictive yeah! and HiveFam is not just a word, some people here are really like a family for me, you and Linda for sure! Iand yeah - I wanna be here as long as I can.

Love you too my dear. I wish you to loads of success

Its nice to hear about your husband's involvement and concern for you in hive. His question about how long you will continue in hive, may be, because he is getting less time with you now. Hive really is a complex system my friend even today didn't get to know it completely.

He does not get less time, that's for sure :-) but yes he sees that I am putting in a lot of effort on daily basis

I’m sure that your husband will be surprised by your growth on the platform and I feel it won’t be a bad idea to have him back in the community
Thank you very much for your boost

Ohhh, he is a task master, he always has very high expectations from me and keeps challenging me on my growth all the time. It's a nice in a way, because that encourages me to do better.
You are welcome. You deserve it. Hope things have settled down back at your home

Naina ji you are doing great. Your husband must be surprised to see you there. You said it right," Hive is very addictive" if someone finds himself comfortable.

Thank you for your kind words @th4488. He is happy with my growth but he has high expectations...hehe
