SSC Day [Week 3] & Weekend at Mom's

in #goaling3 hours ago

Hola, world!

The weekend is in our midst and is looking bright. The picture below isn't today though, nor here in our place. It's somewhere in another town, a few hours' drive away. It reminded me of a dream real-life goal that came true.😊

Speaking of which, since it's Saturday, the drill goes on (whatever that means, lol)! Joke aside, it's our usual on weekends - ssc day (i.e. goal progress updates, checking stats, reviewing the plan, etc).

This weekly exercise kind of gives me a kick in the arse when Mr. P (procrastination) is rearing its ugly head or slacking starts to set in. Both rob us of our precious resource - time! And I'm already in my mid-life so I wouldn't wish to lose more than what has passed.

And so, let's see how we did in the previous days, specifically with the goals we have indicated on the Saturday Savers Club. If you are not in yet, I invite you to check it out and hop on. We are just starting. Read more info on this post.

Goal 1: Staked HBD

  • Week 3 (current): 1,122 HBD
  • Week 2: 1,093 HBD
  • Increase: 29 HBD

There is no race but let's just say we want to be on track so we added more recently, especially since we have paused swapping HBD for HIVE. So why not send them to the vault (that's what we'd like to call the HBD Savings here on the chain) to earn instead of lying idle? With the goal amount, we should save at least 3 HBD a day if we are to check it off by year-end.

Yes, there's still a long way to go toward the target but we had a good start. Besides, we are in the first month so there is no rush (although that shouldn't make us feel complacent).

Goal 2: Stacking Sats

  • Week 3 (current): 23,745 sats
  • Week 2: 10,306 sats
  • Increase: 13,439 sats

The auto-buy is still in place, purchasing $1 (USDT) worth of sats every 12 hours.

Come to think about it, now that I have set one up, it doesn't bother me at all whether the price of Bitcoin drops or rises. Or is it because the amount spent is still small? That we shall find out in the next few months or so. Until then, the recurring plan continues. People's sentiments seem to be more positive with Trump's upcoming inauguration. It's interesting to see how things go by then.

Meanwhile, we are home at my parents' place, spending the night with Mom. With the cancer, she's usually in pain and the drugs seem to have no effect at all. Also, since her fourth mild stroke (on the 7th), she has gotten a lot weaker and is no longer able to stand and walk, or even sit without any support. Her left hand and leg have lost their limber.

Despite all that, she still laughs, even making jokes at times. She's fighting hard and it's tough witnessing her suffer but we are hopeful and wish nothing for her but healing🙏
