Oh la la! So it's the last day of the year and we are enjoying the still and clear blue waters of the shallow island banks of the Bahamas. My niblings' faces are a picture of boundless fun, energy, and excitement as they frolicked in one of Earth's stunning paradise.
That was just my imagination, a wishful thought kinda😅
But we will be on the road today for a quick getaway with the family, except for our old folks who are staying. They didn't want to come with us which is understandable considering the distance and the travel time. Our trips are mostly impromptu for they are more likely to happen than those we plan to the details.
By the way, did you know "Bahamas" derived its name from the Spanish phrase “Baja Mar” which means "shallow ocean?" I read in passing that the shallowness of the banks of the Bahamas makes the color of the water so blue and clear. Not sure if that's all to it though.
Thinking about it, while I had seen pictures of the beautiful place, I didn't desire to add it to my bucket wishlist. Maybe my radar had automatically set it aside because it knew it was out of my reach, lol! But yeah, it was nice to imagine even for a moment, hence my intro above.😅
Anyway, since it's the final day of 2024, let me leave a few notes — but first, Salamuch ("Salamat", meaning "many thanks" or "thank you very much") 2024!
My heartfelt gratitude
For the awesomeness and kindness of fellow Hivians, the wonderful engagements, the joy, sadness, and laughter shared, and many more. All those I met here (albeit digitally and mostly anonymously) have added life to my year. So Salamuch. Thank you, thank you.
Whilst I don't often pour my heart out and converse a little more deeply or meaningfully with you, please know I truly appreciate YOU♥️😘
My best wishes to everyone
May the coming year be better, grander, more thrilling, and filled with laughter, passion, adventure, purpose, wisdom, friendship, success, and happiness.
So here's to a New Year of bliss and blessings!
Let's push boundaries, make many more memories, take risks, learn, grow, treat ourselves (and others) a little kinder, and have a more beautiful, and meaningful life!🍻🍾🥂
Cheers, everyone! Gracias and see you next year (tomorrow)😘
