In this day and age, technology is something that has totally consumed the lives of humanity. There is a lot of censorship that has been able to happen and one might wonder if all of the technology corporations work with each other on this. Google is a major company that also censors information on the internet, so it wouldn't be surprising that they purposefully target ads to their consumers. I have experienced talking about a certain item out loud, and then soon after, an ad for it pops up. As mentioned in my previous discussion on this, I don't necessarily know if this would be classified as an infringement on privacy since we are allowing this to happen, but it is concerning that this can happen without us searching up the item. Usually if you look up an item, then ads will pop up for it which I understand. What I don't understand is how simply talking about something can invoke Google to show ads for it. Just to reiterate, I think the line between whether or not this is illegally infringing upon our privacy is blurred. Something to also wonder would be if the phone providers work with Google to listen to us and pull up ads to our liking. I think that what makes this scary to people is the fact that our phones or technology could be listening to everything we say, and Google is most likely storing our information and could release it at anytime.
