Short Lived HBD Pump To $3

in #hbd2 years ago

So HBD just pumped to more than a 3$

Whenever this happens the arbitrage will happen from all available HBD pools, but most of it will come from the stabilizer, effectively removing and locking HIVE in the DHF

This kind of price movement for HBD hasn't happen in a while, and what is interesting is that this time there is the polycub pHBD pool on Polygon.

This pool was also arbitraged fast and equilibrium was reached.

The only one remaining one now is the Ubpit on Korea, that is limited to Korean KYC users only.
There are few accounts that are making arbitrages on that exchange on regular basis and I expect HBD to reach the peg soon.

The @hbdstabilizer has more than 160k HBD budget daily, and while Koreans can pump millions in few hours in a trading pair, this is just not possible to be sustained and will be short lived, with most of the arb profits ending in the DHF. The same goes when HBD is bellow the peg as well.

If you had some liquid HBD and made the arb, congrats to you :).
Most had it in the savings where it is locked for 3 days. Cant blame them as these HBD pumps are very rare these days.

Totally missed it. So it makes sense to keep some Liquid Hive & HBD always handy in your wallet! xD

The DHF making bank!!! 😂

Some users as well

Like the user who sold nearly 10k HIVE at 4 HBD a piece in the most spectacular fat-finger event on the internal market (ever?).

Pulled everything I had in my trading account into it.

Damn :)
3.5 days is far away

Hive market will get that filled with limit order in couple of minutes.

My image shows conversions, which are profitable when I can sell HBD for more than $1.05. The HBD from those conversions were used to buy more Hive (on the internal market, as you mentioned), which was then converted, and so on.

Yeahh I get that.. it's great still. I'm just thinking hope the price at the time of conversion will fill accordingly without giving you future price after conversion is completed.

I didn't have idea about this but I traded my little hbd for hive and hive did move a little.

It was really nice to see the HBD pump so high which is really a sign of progress.

Very Awesome surprise #HBD to $2.75

so why would Koreans do this pump? How are they making money off of it?

Cant really tell, they do this with many small market cap tokens... my best bet is that its the clastic pump and dump scheme ... first someone accumulate quietly a lot of the token, then put some funds and push the price, expecting more people to jump on the pump and offload the initial tokens that he got for cheep

It's just that HBD is a terrible choice for pump and dump, but they likely do not know enough about it.

Yes :)

What is the hive account for Upbit?

Thanks! Appreciated!

the bastards keep doing this while I'm at work, so I can't take advantage of the pump

I was able to get some hive at 0.33. happy that I was able to get some.

I don't know the reason for this pump, but having more trading options (with added Polycub) makes these pumps more "valid"... Price goes back more slowly than usual, and very often doesn't even get where it was...
