As 13 is our lucky number, we have something special for this week, the HiQs Flash №13.
Whilst we are on the subject of the week, we would like to announce that we will be publishing the HiQs Flash every fortnight from now on. This means that there will be no HiQs Flash next week. This gives us more time for the articles and our other projects, such as Real-Life and CraftInk.
Speaking of games (Editor's note: We skipped Real-Life. LOOL), our Story of the Week this week is about farming. We don't want to give too much away here, you'll have to read for yourselves.
In this issue, we have sent our Turkey correspondent to the Turkish community. As he speaks the language of the locals, you can expect some red-hot insider information.
As usual, you can also win something (Editor's note: But only if you can read the rules correctly. LOOL), take part in the Discount Sale (Editor's note: We can only recommend this, as there will be fewer opportunities for the Discount Sale in the future. LOOL) and of course Hivestyle for Hivians. And while we're on the subject of traditions - have fun with ... ★
Ready to Harvest in dCrops?
By: @incublus
We continue to explore the game world of Hive together. We’re here with the most popular genre that we all played during our childhood and youth. Welcome to your farm in Hive: dCrops!
Image taken from @dcrops
Hive is a place where you can find games of every genre. This week, as the HiQ team, we dug up some soil and planted saplings. Not in real life, of course, (Editor's note: Because we are basement dwellers. LOOL) but in dCrops! This game is very similar to real life, and the team is constantly working to make it even more engaging with regular updates.
Let’s start with the basics - you need a Hive account to play the game. Once you’re logged in with the Keychain app, all you need are a few seeds to plant and some land on which to plant them. It’s that simple. We recommend starting by buying a few packs, and then you can get what you need from the game’s marketplace. Once you’ve done that, we can move on to the planting phase. One thing you need to pay attention to is the time it takes for your seeds to be ready for harvest. Why? Because there are seasons in the game, just like in real life, and each season lasts 15 days. For example, if the seed you planted takes 10 days to grow and there are only 9 days left in the season, unfortunately, you won’t be able to harvest the crop, but you will get the seed back. By the way, just like in real life, there are special seeds for each season. For instance, broccoli, cauliflower, and potatoes can only be grown in spring. It’s a good idea to have a few seeds for each season. Of course, you can use the fertilization system in the game to shorten this time, especially if the harvest from that seed is worth a lot!
Let’s discuss how you can profit from the game. After each harvest, you receive shares, and when you sell these shares, you earn a place in the game’s ranking. The higher your rank, the more CROP tokens you earn, and these are tokens that you can sell. So, is this game very profitable? We haven’t played the game enough to know much about it (Editor’s note: Really? LOOL), but we believe that if you put a lot of effort into your farm, you will be rewarded. After all, you reap what you sow! (Editor’s note: Yes, a little joke on the topic! LOOL)
The game isn’t just about sowing and reaping. You can also acquire materials from the packs you open in the game. With these materials, you can build a furnace and produce items. If you have a tree, you can harvest its fruits and sell them. So, there are many ways to earn. The game hosts regular events. Currently, there’s a Christmas event still ongoing. If you’re lucky, you can profit significantly from these events. Some of the NFTs in the game are quite valuable.
If you like what we’ve shared, you can visit the site here and start playing. If our explanation isn’t sufficient, we recommend checking the FAQ and Wiki tab on the website. There’s some really useful information there.
So, what are your thoughts on dCrops? Have you played it before? Do you think it’s worth a try? Could it replace the good games of the old days, or has it already done so? Feel free to share all of this with us in the comments. (Editor’s note: 8.5! Indeed! [Note from @smooms: I would rate this article a perfect score of 5/7.]) ★
Trliste (Turkish) Community
By: @incublus
Browsing different communities is always beneficial, particularly local ones where the unexpected awaits! Today, we will explore the Trliste (Turkish) community.
Photo taken from @trliste
The Trliste community is a general blogging community with no restrictions on topics. However, there are certain topics that are not welcome in the community, such as religion, politics, racism, and content suitable for those aged 18 and above. These rules are understandable, right? Many communities on Hive have these rules. Of course, Hive’s rules also apply to this community, which include no plagiarism, spam, or abuse. We believe these are necessary rules to keep a community safe and clean.
The community currently exhibits average activity, with between 5 and 10 posts per day. A wide variety of topics can be seen, including movie reviews, games, book reviews, travel posts, thought posts, photo posts, and much more. Occasionally, there are events in the community, which can significantly increase the number of posts.
On @trliste, the community’s account, you can find posts from chats on the community’s Discord server and answers to fun questions asked to the community. Also, when there is an important announcement for the community, it is posted on this account. The community has three admins and three moderators: @damla, @sudefteri, and @incublus, who is part of our team. He is a great person (Note from @incublus: @smooms may have written this part, I don’t know who wrote it :P).
The next event to be organized in the community is the Turkish Hive Power Up Day. Yes, the community has its own power up day. Why? Because such an event makes people feel more connected to the community and more willing to participate. Almost all active members of the community participate in this event, thereby increasing the community’s Hive power and, consequently, its influence. This event is organized on the 19th of every month. The date is significant because it is the day when Ataturk, one of the most important figures in Turkish history, initiated the country’s war of liberation. So, it’s not a random day; it carries meaning.
The community has a trail named @trliste. If you wish to support them, you can follow them here. The community also receives support from Curie and Aliento. It’s worth noting that the community is not exclusive to Turkish users. For instance, if you have visited Turkey and wish to discuss a place you visited there, you can use the Trliste community. Similarly, if you have experienced Baklava in Turkey and want to share your experience, Trliste would be the ideal place for you.
So what are you waiting for? Visit this community NOW! ★

Welcome to Proposals Hivestyle for Hivians. In this edition, we have fresh stuff for you
New Value Plan Proposal
With the Proposal 296 by @valueplan, the Value Plan budget for the first quarter of 2024 is proposed to be increased by 300,000 HBD. If you are not familiar with Value Plan, you should definitely catch up. But for those who are short on time, here is a brief and concise summary of the Proposal and Value Plan.
Value Plan is a project that aims to take Hive around the world by providing financial support to many projects, including marketing, trade fairs, local Hive meetups, boreholes, and rally cars. This quarter, sports are even on the agenda.
With football, rally and cycling, Hive already has a lot in its programme for 2024. Potential trade fair visits are also already being considered for 2024, such as Wrestlecon and trade fairs in Singapore and the United Arab Emirates. India, Venezuela and Peru are also being considered. (Editor's note: Have they forgotten about Hamburg? LOOL) We are excited to see what else 2024 has to offer.
New DBuzz Porposal
Do you actually know @dbuzz? No? Yes? Yeees? You've probably read "posted with DBuzz" somewhere. Maybe you already use DBuzz. DBuzz is a Web3 microblogging platform which, like Leothread, is an alternative to Twitter aka X and the best thing is that DBuzz is, of course, on Hive. By voting for the DBuzz Proposal you can support the project and DBuzz will certainly help to spread the word about Hive. ★
Giveaway
By: @bechibenner
This week we have again the solution to our last raffle from HiQs Flash 12. Again some Hivians followed the call.
Brief info
As of today, the HiQs Flash will only be published every 2 weeks and so will the competition. This means that you will have to wait a little longer until we announce the winners. We will set the countdown for one week and then we will evaluate the competition.
Everyone who has submitted their tip by then in accordance with the rules is eligible to take part.
Like last week, we wanted to know how many Fillink cards are in the next booster pack we opened. As always, we're sure you're eager to find out who the lucky winners are.
Here you can find an overview of the participants and their tips.
Name | Tip |
---|---|
@alicia2022 | 1 Fillink |
@libertycrypto27 | 0 Fillink |
@arc7icwolf | 1 Fillink |
@cpol | 1 Fillink |
@stekene | 1 Fillink |
@joseal2020 | 0 Fillink |
@mario89 | 1 Fillink |
@bitandi | 1 Fillink |
@ynwa.andree | 0 Fillink |
As usual, we opened a pack and these cards appeared.
After we opened the pack, we were able to locate exactly 2 Fillink cards.
Unfortunately, this time everyone guessed too little again. We were sure that there would be a correct tip this time. Two Fillink cards in one pack. That doesn't happen that often and now for the 2nd time in a row. But you don't have to be sad, because we're still going to get the packs out by chance.
We've entered all nine of the participants who have entered into the wheel of fortune and spun it four times. The following hivestylers were selected and can look forward to a CraftInk booster pack.
The winners in drawn order:
- arc7icwolf
- cpol
- mario89
- stekene
We will open another CraftInk booster pack internally and you can guess how many Common cards are in this pack. Write us your guess in the comments and mention 2 more Hivestylers. In the next HiQs Flash, which will be published the week after next, we will announce the winners and post a proof screenshot of our pack opening. You have until the end of the countdown to take part in this competition. We will give away 5 packs among all participants.
Important note: From the next quiz onwards, we must insist that you read exactly what we have written. Anyone who forgets to tag or types the wrong card will unfortunately no longer be considered. ★
This week you can once again take part in the popular HIQS Commentary Discount Sale 3/4 and buy up to 540 HIQS. This time there is a 20% discount on the current price (0.25 SWAP.HIVE). Just write
!HIQS HereYourWishAmount
in the comments. For 0.2 SWAP.HIVE per HIQS you can get the coveted item this week. You have 48 hours from when this post is published to do so. After the deadline, a post will be published on @hiq.shares that will process your orders.
If more than 540 HIQS are requested, the HiQ Smart Bot will distribute the HIQS fairly according to smooms' rule. In cases of abuse, we reserve the right to exclude users from purchasing. (Editor's note: Which still has NEVER happened.) ★
If you want to be informed about our latest issue, @CraftInk, the Commentary Discount Sale, or the other stuff then you should definitely subscribe to us and even get the coveted HiQ SUB Badge. Write quickly
