Just a fun little recipe.
Ingredients
- Yeast (1 Packet 7g)
- 2 Tablespoons Melted Butter
- 1 Teaspoon Sugar
- 1/2 Teaspoon Salt
- 1 Cup Warm Milk
- 2 Cups Flour
Filling & Topping
- 1/4 Cup Butter
- 1 Tablespoon Crushed/ Fresh Garlic
- Herbs and Spices to taste (I used paprika, basil, pepper)
- Cheese 1/2 cup, 1/3 Cup for filling, rest for topping
Method
Add together Yeast, Sugar, Salt, Butter & Milk. Then cover and leave for 5 to 10 minutes until foamy and fragrant
Add flour and mix until you have a soft dough, knead for about 10 minutes
Grease a large bowl with a little bit of butter, cover bowl with cling wrap and place cloth over to cover. Leave in warm place to rise for at least one hour or till doubled in size.
While dough rises, mix together all filling ingredients and set aside to rest
Divide dough into 8 pieces, flatten, fill and fold as shown. Flip over onto piece of tinfoil. (Do not wrap and cover with foil yet!)
Cover with cloth and leave to rise for another 30 minutes to an hour.
Air fry or braai as you see fit. I finished these off in the air fryer after opening up the top foil bits and putting some cheese on top.
Destroy them!
