Maja Blanca is one of my favorite snacks during elementary school. If it's available and the sapin sapin woman decided to let us have her "Kakanin" and promised that we'll pay for it the next day, I am one of those who'll get in the line just to have her "Kakanin." I was a good payer back then, so I am allowed to get her foods. Her Maja Blanca is different from the Maja that some people love to make now. Hers used real corn flour, which is why her Maja tastes more like corn. It has different texture as well as color. And I got the chance to taste her Maja Blanca again when she passed by in front of our store. Lucky! \(^o^)/

That's her with her usual get-up. I actually want to buy her Sapin-Sapin, but it's not available that day. And when I told her why, she said she already made it yesterday and she doesn't really sell the same product on the next day. Which I also think is a nice move. At least people can have a variety of choices, depending on what's on her menu that day. She's also selling "Humba," as we called it, but instead of pork, it's made with Langka or Jackfruit. Humbang Langka is really good. It's too bad we just had Langka the day before, and we're kind of craving different vegetables that day. Anyhow, I still bought her Maja Blanca for 50 pesos. At least I bought some, hehehe.

So here are the 50 pesos, Maja Blanca. It looks plain and yellow, no sweet corn as a topping, no cheese, just like what most people make now (see the second image for reference). It only has roasted coconut, and it is in separate plastic. And it is big, the thickness is just right. And the maja blanca of the others is really white. It has sweet corn too in it, which I think is good. But, I think, nothing can beat this maja blanca that I know. It's more delicious for me.

Anyways, here's our creamylicious Maja Blanca. Topped with roasted coconut, which goes really well with maja. It makes the maja more yummier than it already is. It's like, it enhances its taste.

I cut it into eight, just a bite size. Because why not no, lol. I really like the taste of this, it is creamy and soft, it melts in my mouth too. OMG! But it is too sweet ( ꈍᴗꈍ). It is too sweet, but I can't stop myself from taking a spoonful of it. The oldies feel the same, lol. We love it, and we will definitely have it again for sure. It's been a week since the sapin sapin woman passed by here in our house. I already miss here, sapin sapin, huhu.

Here's more of it. Ahhh, what makes this maja blanca creamier is the coconut milk. She didn't use milk, which is most used nowadays. Even the taste of the coconut milk is perfect with it.

I'm sure you can already tell how good it's texture is just with these photos. What do you think? Will you eat it?

I haven't try this kind of Maja blanca. I eat the usual one always. Hope someday I will get a chance😁.

Ohhh, it's best, for me not sure if you'll like it. Ito ang alam kong maja blanca eh, not yong nauuso na talaga now na white kulay.

I agree, sometimes the classic versions have that nostalgic taste that just can’t be beaten. I’d definitely want to try it if I get the chance!

Right?? So you haven't tried this yet?

That looks so sweet and yummy 😄

Yes, really sweet 😆😆 still yummy though. After eating jt I drink lots of water 😆

Amazing food, my mouth is watering.😁 I want to go if you invite me 😁

Halla, sarap naman nyan sis! Isang slice please, lol! Naiiba yung maja nya, may twist din sa toppings. And so affordable kamo (100 ang ganyan dito sa amin haha!)
