Buenos días amigos hivers, como se encuentran, me siento bien de salud, agradecida de estar de nuevo por acá con ustedes. He estado un poco ausente de la comunidad, pues me he sentido un poco estresada últimamente debido a problemas familiares. Hoy me levanté temprano, pues tenía turno con el psiquiatra en el policlínico para consultar a mi mamá. El mismo la lleva atendiendo desde hace tiempo, pues mi mamá padece de crisis psicodepresivas.

Good morning hivers friends, how are you, I feel in good health, grateful to be here with you again. I've been a bit absent from the community as I've been feeling a bit stressed lately due to family issues. Today I got up early, because I had an appointment with the psychiatrist at the polyclinic to consult my mother. He himself has been taking care of her for a long time, because my mother suffers from psychodepressive crises.

Todo estaba transcurriendo bien, mi mamá se sentía de lo mejor, incluso dejó de tomar el medicamento porque refiere que se sentía bien. Algo que recién descubrimos, pues empezó a presentar fatigas seguidas de desmayos, provocando que se descontrolara de los nervios, por lo que fue llevada a la guardia médica varias veces. Nos preocupamos mucho, pues le sucedió en varias ocasiones, una vez en la escuela primaria donde trabaja y otra vez en una guagua, suerte que en las dos ocasiones había alguien cerca que la pudiera socorrer.

Everything was going well, my mom was feeling great, she even stopped taking the medication because she says she felt fine. Something that we recently discovered, because she began to present fatigue followed by fainting, causing her to lose control of her nerves, for which she was taken to the medical guard several times. We worried a lot about her, because she happened to her on several occasions, once at the elementary school where she works and another time in a bus, luckily on both occasions there was someone close to her who could help her.

En estas ocasiones todos los análisis rutinarios como electro, glicemia y parámetros vitales dieron bien. Por lo que decidimos hacer unos estudios más profundos, le realizamos estudios sanguíneos de glucosa, transaminasas, lípidos, estudios renales, entre otras, resultando todos negativos, solo una prueba de tolerancia de la glucosa fue la que salió un poco confusa, pero con el resultado inverso a lo que esperábamos por lo que nos recomendaron ver un endocrino.

On these occasions, all the routine analyzes such as electro, glycemia and vital parameters gave good results. For this reason, we decided to do some more in-depth studies, we carried out blood tests for glucose, transaminases, lipids, kidney studies, among others, all of which were negative, only a glucose tolerance test was the one that came out a bit confusing, but with the The result was the opposite of what we expected, so they recommended that we see an endocrinologist.

Por lo que pedimos información a algunos médicos especialistas, pero sin llegar a conclusión alguna, por lo que nos recomendaron verla con su psiquiatra que la trata por costumbre, pues llegamos a la conclusión de que podían ser crisis de pánico por las que estaba atravesando provocadas por estrés o sencillamente por el propio trastorno que ya tenía desde hace tiempo.

For this reason, we asked some specialist doctors for information, but without reaching any conclusion, for which they recommended us to see her with her psychiatrist who treats her out of habit, since we concluded that they could be panic attacks that she was going through caused by due to stress or simply due to the disorder itself that I had had for a long time.

Hace varios días que, producto de estos cuadros que estaba presentando, mi mamá se ha estado quedando conmigo en la casa, pues ella vive con mi hermano varón y su esposa. Fuimos las dos a la consulta, por suerte no había tantas personas marcando, alcanzamos el tercer turno. El policlínico como cada día en la mañana, estaba bastante concurrido y activo, pues por la mala alimentación por la que pasamos por estos tiempos las personas se enferman mucho o más de lo habitual.

Several days ago, as a result of these paintings that I was presenting, my mother has been staying with me at home, since she lives with my brother and his wife. We both went to the consultation, luckily there were not so many people dialing, we reached the third shift. The polyclinic, like every day in the morning, was quite crowded and active, because due to the poor diet we go through in these times, people get sick a lot or more than usual.

Entramos a la consulta bien temprano gracias a dios, no hubo que esperar mucho tiempo, el doctor como siempre muy amable y atento con todos sus pacientes, nos atendió con mucho gusto, fue acá dónde descubrimos que no se estaba tomando sus medicamentos, y además de esto también, pues se estaba tomado otro medicamento calmante confundido con aspirina que también puede ser la causa de estos desmayos, pues se lo confesó al doctor así que todos nos pusimos en función de ella.

We entered the office very early, thank God, we did not have to wait long, the doctor, as always, was very kind and attentive to all his patients, he treated us with great pleasure, it was here that we discovered that he was not taking his medications, and also of this too, because she was taking another calming medication confused with aspirin that may also be the cause of these fainting spells, she confessed it to the doctor so we all put ourselves in function of her.

Las conclusiones de la consulta del siquiatra fueron que sus desmayos no tienen nada que ver con crisis de pánico ni nada que ver con su trastorno psiquiátrico, pues si ese fuera el caso le hubiesen aparecido desde más joven ante cualquier situación de estrés y no a la edad de 57 años, lo que no es el caso porque nunca antes había sufrido esto.

The conclusions of the psychiatrist's consultation were that his fainting spells have nothing to do with panic attacks or anything to do with his psychiatric disorder, because if that were the case they would have appeared from a younger age in any stressful situation and not to the age of 57, which is not the case because he had never suffered from this before.

Es la primera vez que sufre de estos desmayos por lo que me recomendó verla con un endocrino por la prueba de tolerancia de glucosa que se le realizó y Salió con el resultado contrario al que esperábamos, que según su criterio puede ser que esté sufriendo de una hiperinsulinemia o la llamada pre diabetes, o en el caso de que fuera necesario también verla con el neurólogo según el criterio del endocrino que la va a ver posteriormente, aunque también piensa que puede ser por aquel medicamento que se estuvo tomando confundido con las aspirinas, pues al parecer tuvo mucho que ver en toda esta situación.

It is the first time that she has suffered from these blackouts, so she recommended that I see her with an endocrinologist because of the glucose tolerance test that was performed and she came out with the opposite result to what we expected, which according to her criteria may be that she is suffering from a hyperinsulinemia or the so-called pre-diabetes, or in the event that it is also necessary to see her with the neurologist according to the criteria of the endocrinologist who will see her later, although she also thinks that it may be due to that medication that she was taking confused with aspirin, Well, apparently he had a lot to do with this whole situation.

Al salir de la consulta no sé explicar la sensación que experimente, pues aún hay mucha más incertidumbre de la que había al inicio, pues pensé que todo se trataba del mismo trastorno ya existente en ella, pero al parecer no es así y aún no tenemos idea de lo que pueda estar sucediendo.

When I left the office, I don't know how to explain the sensation that I experienced, because there is still much more uncertainty than there was at the beginning, because I thought that it was all about the same disorder that already existed in her, but apparently it is not like that and we still do not have idea of ​​what might be happening.

Cuando salimos del policlínico recorrimos algunos puestos para comprar algo de comer, pues con toda esta situación tiene que estar bien alimentada y la cosa no está muy buena que digamos y agregándole también el estrés que estamos viviendo por estos días con los temidos asaltos que están ocurriendo a lo largo de la ciudad donde nunca hemos estado acostumbrados a eso, pues mi provincia siempre se ha caracterizado por ser muy tranquila.

When we left the polyclinic we went through some stalls to buy something to eat, because with all this situation she has to be well fed and things are not very good and we also add the stress that we are experiencing these days with the feared assaults that are taking place throughout the city where we have never been used to that, because my province has always been characterized by being very quiet.

No encontramos muchas cosas, pues todo está excesivamente caro y a esta altura del mes ya casi no queda capital para adquirir necesidades básicas, pero bueno, como dice todo buen cubano que se respete, lo más importante es la salud.
Al llegar a casa calenté el almuerzo y me puse a escribir este post para ustedes, pues creo que mi situación puede ser muy parecida a la situación de algunos de ustedes, siempre que hay un paciente con trastorno psiquiátrico no significa que todos sus padecimientos provengan de su psiquis, ojo con esto a veces puede ser real.

We don't find many things, because everything is excessively expensive and at this point of the month there is almost no capital left to buy basic necessities, but hey, as every good self-respecting Cuban says, the most important thing is health.
When I got home I warmed up lunch and began to write this post for you, because I think my situation may be very similar to the situation of some of you, whenever there is a patient with a psychiatric disorder, it does not mean that all their sufferings come from his psyche, be careful with this sometimes it can be real.

En resumen, los días de investigación se extienden hasta que demos con lo que tiene, aún se avecinan muchos días de estrés y preocupación, pero espero que si dios lo permite la angustia termine pronto. Iremos a las consultas pertinentes de los especialistas que sean necesarios y haremos exámenes con mayor profundidad, llegando con el favor de dios al desenlace de los " famosos desmayos", esperando con fe que se resuelva todo pronto y sin males mayores para toda la familia.
