Hola Hivers!!! Hoy he tenido una clase diferente, las clases de curaduría de arte correspondientes a esta semana , se impartieron en el Centro Provincial de Artes Plásticas y Diseño de Santiago de Cuba. La asistencia fue bastante masiva, al parecer es un tema que le interesa a muchos de mis compañeros.
Gretel Arrate, artista visual de la provincia fue la encargada de impartirnos la conferencia, y darnos a conocer acerca del proceso curatorial en cada una de las exposiciones que la Galería ha tenido y las cualidades que un curador de arte debe poseer.
En la Galería está montada una exposición temporal, en este caso es de grabado, especialmente de la técnica de Colografía.
También la artista nos estuvo hablando de la importancia de un catálogo en la exposición, porque será lo que perdure a través de la historia.
Curaduría no es de mis asignaturas favoritas pero intento disfrutarla todo lo que puedo.

Hello Hivers!!! Today I had a different class, the art curating classes corresponding to this week, were taught at the Provincial Center of Plastic Arts and Design of Santiago de Cuba. The attendance was quite massive, apparently it is a topic that interests many of my colleagues.
Gretel Arrate, a visual artist from the province, was in charge of giving us the conference, and letting us know about the curatorial process in each of the exhibitions that the Gallery has had and the qualities that an art curator should possess.
A temporary exhibition is mounted in the Gallery, in this case it is of engraving, especially the Colography technique.
The artist was also talking to us about the importance of a catalog in the exhibition, because it will be what lasts throughout history.
Curating is not one of my favorite subjects but I try to enjoy it as much as I can.
