At around 16.30 I was in the bushes in the "uteun rubieh" area to hunt for some interesting insect objects there. Unfortunately I didn't find many insects there but only a few species of moths and butterflies. And I want to share some of these insect species in today's post.
The first is a small brown butterfly or what is also known as "dingy bushbrown". This butterfly is characterized by a brown color with feather patterns like a peacock's tail on its wings. Scientifically, this butterfly is named Mycalesis perseus.
Then in the second photo there is a beautiful yellow moth that I caught standing on the leaves of a wild plant. I think this yellow moth is part of the Antiblemma moth, a genus of moths of the family Noctuidae.
Then for the next moth there is the Hyblaea puera moth, a moth from the Hyblaeidae family which also has its own interest in terms of shape, size & color.
Lastly there is a beautiful butterfly from the Hesperiidae family. This butterfly is part of the Tagiades japetus butterfly.
