Un chinche de llamativos colores / A brightly colored bug

Saludos hivers y bienvenidos a mi blog. Hoy les traigo un insecto que encontré en una de las plantas que están en mi balcón, me llamó la atención por la combinación de sus colores de negro y amarillo intenso. Estaba tranquilo así que pensé que sería un excelente modelo para ampliar mi portafolio de fotos de insectos, que ya saben que me encantan jejeje 😃.

Hello hivers and welcome to my blog. Today I bring you an insect that I found on one of the plants that are on my balcony, it caught my attention because of the combination of its black and intense yellow colors. It was quiet so I thought it would be an excellent model to expand my portfolio of insect photos, which you already know I love hehehe 😃.

Estas fotos las hice en dos partes, tomé unas cuantas al mediodía pero como el sol estaba tan fuerte decidí que ya eran suficientes 🥵 jajaja, extrañamente, en la tarde, cuando salí nuevamente al balcón, el insecto aún seguía ahí así que le tomé algunas fotos más jejeje.

I took these photos in two parts, I took a few at midday but since the sun was so strong I decided that they were enough 🥵 hahaha, strangely, in the afternoon, when I went out to the balcony again, the insect was still there so I took some more photos of it hehehe.

Este insecto es un Chinche del algodoncillo (Oncopeltus fasciatus) y pertenece al orden de los hemiptera, habitan en el continente americano desde Canadá hasta el Caribe y aquí en Venezuela son bastante comunes. Prefieren los lugares donde vive la gente o donde hay actividad humana como casas, orillas de carreteras, granjas y pastizales.

This insect is a Milkweed Bug (Oncopeltus fasciatus) and belongs to the order Hemiptera. They live on the American continent from Canada to the Caribbean, and here in Venezuela they are quite common. They prefer places where people live or where there is human activity such as houses, roadsides, farms and pastures.

Este chinche es ligeramente tóxico y el color amarillo es uno de los rasgos particulares que exhibe sobre su dorso para advertir a los depredadores sobre su toxicidad, a esto se le llama coloración aposemática.

This bug is slightly toxic and the yellow color is one of the particular features it exhibits on its back to warn predators about its toxicity, this is called aposematic coloration.

Este amiguito que hoy fue mi modelo para una nueva sesión de fotos del fascinante mundo de los insectos, fue todo un profesional y me dí cuenta que disfrutó mucho mostrándome todos sus ángulos jejeje. ¿Lo mejor de estos modelos? Pues que no necesitan ni vestuario, ni maquillaje ni ser peinados 😎🤭🤭😉, ¿Qué más se puede pedir?

This little friend who today was my model for a new photo session of the fascinating insect world, he was very professional and I realized that he really enjoyed showing me all his angles hehehe. The best thing about these models? Well, they don't need wardrobe, makeup or hairstyles 😎🤭🤭😉, what more could you ask for?
