His presence, of course, tells us a tragedy

Welcoming in my blog...

When you see a grasshopper in an unusual location, of course, something pops up in your heart and a few simple questions arise. When people pass by in the same location, they often ignore this small issue. However, you will get some other information when you look into it

(¬Rice grasshopper ®2022¬)

Hi friends, all of you who are members of the #fastinacinginsects community, on this occasion I individually share a little story about the presence of rice locusts which have recently been seen in locations that are not their territory, although in this location it is very rare to find rice locusts.

However, I also saw an adult grasshopper with a large size perched on one of the flower plants belonging to the government office in the location where I work in an institution.

In an individual view and based on several experiences in each observation in a habitat, when this grasshopper is present in its non-territorial territory. So some questions arise regarding this phenomenon. Although sometimes, some people say that, the grasshopper will always be present if green plants are seen in a location.

That assumption, sometimes true and sometimes different, but the situation here is very different, why? Because it is very rare for this location to be controlled by every type of insect, especially grasshoppers, because in this location there is very little visible habitat that is attractive to every insect, this is due to the lack of suitable plants for them.

So, based on the arguments above, I personally assume that, something went wrong in their initial location or the nest they were breeding in that something wasn't right.

As mentioned above, and based on personal experience with local research colleagues, if this is seen, then the nest area (original habitat), has experienced several problems, so that every habitat dweller migrates to another area, generally things like :

  1. The location of the nest has disappeared for some reason
  2. The location of the nest has no food
  3. The emergence of predators, on purpose
  4. and, some other things that can make the inhabitants of the habitat not feel comfortable.

1. The main nesting location or main habitat has disappeared

Every creature who has instincts like every animal that continues to develop on planet earth, and even humans, of course really wants a location as a comfortable habitat point.

Locations that are used as points or centers of civilization either in breeding or locations that are not quiet from daily activities must have the right conditions. When all these requirements are in one location, various activities will automatically be formed and a solid and lasting residence will also be seen.

Likewise with grasshoppers, they will also seek and make a location as a perfect breeding center with the aim of being able to continue to live and take refuge in it. Incidentally, every grasshopper wants a location that will be used as a nest, it must have the potential for lush leaves and also be safe from everything that makes them free to move.

The thick leaves and safe from everything, according to him, are located in a land that has a lot of plants, so they feel at home in it. So that the location becomes a nest and a point of lasting civilization.

Forests, rice fields, plantations and several other ornaments, as mentioned above, are characteristic of locust nests. However, the point of civilization, may be lost and lost forever if that location, has accepted a law of nature, whether it comes from nature itself or the act of human work.

A disaster stemming from the laws of nature, such as a flood, strong wind and some other disasters, can destroy locust nests, thus having a bad impact on the locust group or other species.

When that happens or will happen, each group of locusts has detected it in its own way, thus making the locust group or individual locusts die and the survivors will move to a densely populated location or where there is a location that makes them feel comfortable.

several groups of grasshoppers who have detected a disaster will approach and approach their nests, then this intelligent group, first performs a mission in the field in the form of migration and this group will survive, because they first do self-rescue.

Among the various species, there are also groups that have survived in the original location, although they have detected the impending disaster, but they still adhere to the old traditions, so this group suffers the most deaths. The meaning of the old tradition is to move to a high place (still in the nest location), but still the group is swept away by every disaster that comes from nature itself.

If the main disasters of each group of grasshoppers and other species, are caused by human hands, such as clearing new land to build buildings or illegally opening new gardens, to plant other crops such as wanting to plant oil palm, suddenly or suddenly, then habitat destruction will occur, then almost 90% of the habitats that inhabit a habitat will die instantly.

Here and this is what is meant by the presence of grasshoppers that choose locations that are not territorial. So today, an adult grasshopper appears suddenly and there is no trace of breeding here, meaning that in this area, there are no visible remains of the birth and development process of grasshoppers.

Here and this is what is meant by the presence of grasshoppers that choose locations that are not territorial. So today, an adult grasshopper appears suddenly and there is no trace of breeding here, meaning that in this area, there are no visible remains of the birth and development process of grasshoppers.

Although every animal does not have common sense like humans, they have instincts or instincts in this regard, so it is not surprising that every animal, especially grasshoppers, often migrates. They will look for new locations even in the human environment itself.

Then what about the explanations in points 2 and 3, so in this case, just wait for the explanation that will come.
