A blessed day for all of us, may we always be under the protection of Allah today I am back with you to show you my catch this morning before going to work I first hunted small insects then I immediately went to the chili garden but I didn't find any unique insects then I tried to move to another location in the hope of finding something unique for me to publish
While near the orange tree I saw a unique insect perched on the orange leaves this insect was shaped like a spider but its size was very small so it was very difficult for me to get a focused picture plus the lighting was lacking
This is a camouflage spider that has a color like a dry twig so it is very difficult to find it plus its size very small because I was curious I searched for the Latin name of this spider on Google the search results were this insect called menemerus bivittatus
This spider eats insects that are smaller than it and it is able to make sticky web traps to catch its prey this web is made of thread that can be released through its tail and this spider is a friend to farmers because it can eat pests on their plants
This spider is able to eat 10 brown planthopper pests on rice plants so that the presence of this spider is very much liked by farmers even though sometimes this spider dies when farmers spray insecticide to control rice pests
This spider is very different from the spiders that I generally find they prefer to perch in their web traps waiting for prey but unlike this insect which only stays on orange leaves
So I have to study it further in general this insect is very small in size and very difficult to see if not careful, after taking a few photos then he felt disturbed then immediately left and I let him stay there nature.
